The only place I saw the Smoke and Speed pulls at Burlington Pa. was on Facebook but if I hadn't heard a rumor of them coming I might not have known about it. They had good crowds but I think they could have been bigger with more advertising. It could have been they didn't want big ads do to covid. Not everyone is on Facebook or wants to fumble through the search to find a pull. Yes the

I haven't been able to find them. Smoke and Speed should have them but I guess they don't post. The only points where for the pickups as far as I know. It would be neat to have them all posted. I'd like to know who we were pulling with.

Smoke and Speed did a great job at Burlington Pa. along with their crew. Thanks Floyd for making it happen and giving us a great place to pull every month. Close to home for us too. We had a great time pulling in the 10500 Hot Farm Class. It was a tough class of tractors. I wish I could have spent more time visiting with the pullers from NY but didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable u

Your ground speed will change between the two sizes. We can't quite run high gear in the same weight class 10500 so I'm thinking a 24 would allow us to do that. We can run high gear in a 9500 class. So it may help you 1 or the other depending on your gearing.

Like already said put a price on your parts and problem is solved without being rude. If you don't have a price how the heck is a person supposed to know if they're interested or not. I bet you don't buy parts without knowing and asking the price.

The whole dot number, cdl/ air brake and medical card thing is a mess. I don't think 1 out of 100 troopers even know what's going on. Then you throw in what you're doing or farm tags and it's a real disaster. I've had dot cops fine me for driver and owner fines and then throw them in the window at me an hour later and say get going. Good luck on your endeavor and if you

460 Farmall Diesel has been our worst. My dad bought it new. Nothing but a headache. It was is one and only new tractor. My first new one was a JD 6135 E and it lost all hydraulics going down a steep hill. Deere took it back and gave me a super deal on a 6130M and it's been a real good tractor.

I'm 65 and always lived on the same farm. It's just a small former dairy farm in the hill country of Pa.. My wife and I started crop farming on a very small scale in 1980 using idle land in our area. As farmers retired or just got out because dairy was so un-profitable back then, before then and yet. They came to us to rent their land. My wife and I both had off farm jobs, sold seed, cu

Rick if you would like a pull in Northeastern Pa. Burlington Motor Park near Troy had a great pull with 2 tracks on June 5th. They had over 400 hooks and the place had a great crowd. We pulled in the Hot Farm/Pro Farm class. The track was great. Check out their Facebook page. Floyd Isbell is great guy and he might be willing to host a pull for your club. He has another pull June 27th. The first

You might be right. One solution seems to be having pulls on private grounds. If I had a good location along a major highway there would be a track built. Having a pull a month from May through Sept. with a super pull in Oct.. I know private pulls don't seem to draw a lot of fans or pullers vs. fair pulls but times are changing. Burlington Pa. sure had a fantastic draw and yes I know it was

Good job to those who put this pull together in a 2 week time period. Over 400 hooks on a double track that is normally a single track. Had vehicles from all over the country. It was great to see events can still happen without government intervention on private property. That means we still have some freedoms left to be thankful for. Thanks again to The Burlington Motor Park owners and crew.

Wipe the slate clean and start over. Have the classes be the same at all levels and not all the nutty variations we now have. examples Start with Hot farm, Pro farm, Switch SF to the 4.1 class, Pro- Stock and Super Stock Diesel and Alky. Forget the rest. Modified and trucks are another ball of wax. Way easier to draw in novice fans with a simpler line up. The expense to compete is way out of hand

Maybe wave a magic wand and take the sport back to the glory days to see what made them the glory days. I have my ideas on what made pulling so popular then. Running any organization is like getting a dozen farmers to agree on the price of a candle stick. Almost impossible. I know that because I'm a farmer.

I look at 2 web sites every morning and evening when I can. Pulloff and AGTalk. Lately both sites have been all but out of control. This whole virus thing has people on edge with their lives and lively hood. It affects everyone in all kinds of ways. I'm very thankful to live in the country and have a small farming operation to work on. I can take a walk with my pal/dog and not be near anyone

Are the pulling simulator games still on the net ? We can build a simulator and set on our tractors and pull like NASCAR races. You pull then the next one etc. with a live feed video. Sorry I guess the virus got me.

I watched those videos and saw a lot of shinny pumps on them. I'm not much for mph/pace pulling except for antiques. I can't see that it's any safer the way these tractors where pushing the throttle full bore the last 50'. It's definitely a skill to drive in that class. There is a class in Central Pa. that's like that. I don't think our Hot Farm would be in the
