When we we're asked about adding the alcohol tractors. We new that it would help are class in the long run. But a few of us had to swallow that pride pill. If Kentucky wanted more diesel tractors , would it be beneficial to maybe raise the weight to 6200 to get guys building the 410 with cooler and the 315 twin on a cooler? Just like us , maybe are weight diffe

I've watched NFMS CTP add new classes the last 2 years, and felt that LLSS could be a popular addition to that event, as well. However, with the rules fractured as they are across the country, how would the committee be able to make their invites, and set the rules?
Arron,
That is the absolute truth! It would definitely be a popular addition in my opinion also. Like

Clutch can be slightly out of adjustment cause issues and still hook up or it can be way out of adjustment and not hook up. Depends on how far out of adjustment it is.
Centrifugal clutch right? I have a crower pedal clutch and had that happen to me. Engaging and disengaging at about 200 feet and it would really bounce. It happened right after I put new discs in it.

Crower style clutches can still hook up and go at full speed when incorrectly adjusted. For instance wrong number of weights on fingers which would be not adjusted correctly and cause bouncing on take off but still hook up and get full speed out of tires.
Ok so on a crower style clutch you are saying that it should still hook up no matter how it's adjusted?

Plum Krazy, yes clutch issues can cause bouncing, but on a pro stock where tires are spinning at a high speed I don't believe clutch adjustment is going to cause it.
Please excuse me for my ignorance but how can tires turn at high speed if a clutch is not adjusted right?

First and foremast, I just want to say that we had a great time with those people at Hammond, La. last year. We hope to do it again but it doesn't look good for this year.
As far as the number of chargers rule that they have, if it works for them then I feel that they should leave it be. There are just as good(if not better) 2 charger systems as there are 3. Though Jason Yakey does not p

Actually, I was off on my math. The website says they get 75,000 fans at $35 a pop. That a cool $2,625,000. Add in merchandise, concessions, live streaming, etc. And it's probably around $3,000,000 in gross profit. The same website says the payout is over $200,000. So it's actually closer to 5 percent for the pullers. That leaves an awful lot left to put on the pull.

EXACTLY! And that's why NUMBERS have gone down in CLASSES so new classes have been made to save money when in fact those new classes will spend just as much and then those numbers will go down also.

I run a LLSS. This was to be a cheap class to get into. And technology has increased the cost, because if you don't spend or update your behind by ten feet. Granted with the limits and rules in place. If you spend wisely you still can keep up with good driving and good maintenance on your tractor
Dave, you said a MOUTHFULL there! Why is it so hard for some t

I am trying to get Scott to join me on a new facebook page called "we lose our weights club".

Besides it Wasn't even the pullers fault it was the Manufacturers fault when we buy a part we expect it to be compliant.
Man I hope I read that right. And if I have I guess now the puller doesn't have to check what the manufacturer has done. Just EXPECT it to be right. bwahahahahahaha

Thanks! We’re working hard this winter and will be ready for 2018. I will say....these UPM hss pullers are a class act and you can obviously tell that we stick together!
You have worked just as hard as I have. Wish you could bring that Cub of yours down this way to an ITPA hss pull.

Is making new classes with "tougher" limits not pretty much the same as putting limits on an existing class, except for the fact you still allow the guys who don't want to change / scale down to still run the way they like and let them meet their possible fate?
At least they can still try to bring their numbers up / improve their show. Better than not having a chance to improve

To answer your question, I would have to say that you go by event rules since there is no sanctioning body putting on the event. A reason why I am not a fan of brush pulling.

Now Clark, you and I have talked about this many times. This class on inlet side of charger doesn't need anything but a 3 inch. They let the 470's go with inlet size of 3.4 . So the I can't keep up goes on and on. A simple weight difference, instead of wasted money on chargers would have been a good place to start.
