Heard there were some heated discussions on turbos. Sounds like some guys are stretching the rules. We will see if they get to hook at Gordyville with those turbos.

No one got hurt. It was a bit exciting. He was not forced to run his tractor outside. His tractor was not starting properly and they POURED the ether to it. WAY too much. In the finals, it went perfect like any other tractor.

Why are the light supers not supporting the Midwest Winter Nationals? $2000 to the winner...it doesn't make sense. The Whatssmokin team has always taken care of them even when Louisville dropped them. Do we think that since they are back at Louisville this year, they don't have enough time to come pull with those guys?

ITPA and East Central already has the 466 limited pro class out there. It seems to get great numbers. Why screw up what is already there and put in a 505 class adn keep those out there from having a national class to participate in. 466 is quick and easy to get to by ALL colors. If you want a small cube class, use that as your model.
Now for the bigger class. Somewhere between 680 (prosto

Any type of restriction will drive up costs. It will also drive you to the best turbo for that size which eventually, drives you to a single turbo supplier. In prostock, hyper turbos are much larger than columbus. If there is a limit, I would go get a columbus because it packs more in for a given size. This just took hyper out of the picture. My point here is, if there is no limit, then EVER

I have a question...why does everyone want this class to be so light??? If a tractor weighs more, it can get ahold of the track better. There are VERY few tracks that you can get ahold of at 8500. You are building a late 80's or early 90's prostock...they pulled at 12000 and 10000# all those years...why the light weight now. If anyone trys to tell me it is for color, that is BS. I

Both your points are valid and could easily be agreed upon.
The intent with p-pumps were to keep it simple. 13mm parts are basicly standard for pump shops. Cheap and easy.
IC's are great. I totally agree with you comments but remember, it isnt only the weight of the intercooler, it is the plumbing, the tank, water, ice and pumps that you not only have to make weight with, but sque

Work has been done on a set of rules for this class but to date, there has been a significant amount of legitimate concerns. Here is where we have landed as of today:
1. Chassis would be based off of all the minirod specs. tire size, length, roll cage, hitch, etc.
2. Weight has not been handled yet. Thought it would be around 2500#.
3. Engine: 4L max. This would allow the 4B cummins

Remember...cost is not a big player. No matter how good your intentions are, the cost will be too much. Your comment on this new class being a bridge class is a great comment. That is exactly what it is. The NTPA can set all the rules as they see fit, but they need to remember that there are many other states that are planing on picking up this class and the NTPA better make an effort to chat
