Jeff ran that setup with OSTPA and placed in the top 3 or 4 most times. It is legal to Run in OSTPA 8000# Super Stock class, but would have to run a lower drawbar [18"]

The Lgt Pro class has evolved from an entry level class to a very expensive class in just a few years. It doesn't matter if you put a size limit on a turbo or leave them any size, it will cost the same for the puller who wants the latest and greatest. Been there and done that !!! Turbo technology changes all the time. I know a few Lgt Pro guys who have bought several different Turbo charges

120K-150K if your able to do some of the work. 160K-190K if you want someone to build you a turn Key Tractor. You did ask for a price on top of the Line Tractor !!! I can Guarantee that someone will say they can build one for less than these figures, But it won't be the best of everything !!!!

Light Pro's are just the Pro Stock class from the Ag Rear End Days !!!! Give them 5 years and they will be the same cost to build as a Pro Stock !!! Some of the Light Pro guys are already wanting Component Chassis and Billet Injection Pumps !!! Great Quote by What is affordable = "Build what you can afford and go pull.
Winning on the other hand cost money, and always will"

Use a thin layer of permatex ultra black only. The gasket will mess with the installed height of spacer blocks.

As long as the diesels guys realize that they may have to go back to a smaller turbo size if they dominate the class. Why have 12 Alky tractors put on bigger chargers if there is only 4 or 5 diesels. I have no problem with the bigger turbo on the Diesels as long as they understand they might have to change it if they dominate.

Both Case engines [504 & 451] use a 5" stroke crankshaft. The difference is the piston diameter. So you could sleeve the 504 down to 4.466" = 469.95 cu. in. or put a bigger piston in the 451 block. You could also destroke the crankshaft to 4.663" + 470 cu.in., but i don't know if case crankshafts have enough material to do so. You could go with a 4.500" bore x 4.925" stroke = 470 cu.in. Also

Like ACLLSS puller said, " It's a stupid vicious cycle when people don't see the big picture and I've been around pulling all my life it just cycles around and back again ! " . Just a thought= What if a group of Pro Stock pullers who want lower limits split the class with there new limits in place and pull regional type class. Then we will find out what happens from there ! Is making new classes with "tougher" limits not pretty much the same as putting limits on an existing class, except for the fact you still allow the guys who don't want to change / scale down to still run the way they like and let them meet their possible fate?
At least they can still try to bring their numbers up / improve their show. Better than not having a c

There is a need for a 6500# hot Farm class for Brush pulling. They don't have many place to pull without getting there butts handed to them by Hot Rod V-8 and LLSS tractors who pull in the same class. Weather you like it or not these pullers may step up one day to a bigger class.

Check your Intake Boost and exhaust pressures while pulling. See how much difference you have and decide from there. Most pullers change the exhaust housings to speed up or slow down the exhaust wheel. This will help equalize the pressures between the two. Contact your Turbo builder and ask him what pressures he recommends! Good Luck Pulling in 2018

I've been thinking about this topic this past week. I'm not sure how it could be accomplished, but someone might have some new Ideas involving pulling vehicles. For example, I work on my tractor all week. Then i drive 2 hours to a pull. I hook to the sled and less than 20 seconds my adrenaline rush is over ! I load up and go home. If i'm luck I will win enough $ to make the next ev
