You talk about $150K to $300K for a Super Farm. I can sell you my Open Alcohol Super Stock [ The old "Slow Ride, then Big Toy II ] for $110K !!! Past 2X NTPA Champion, Built by one of the best in the business [ Terry Blackbourn ]. Unlike SF or Lgt Pro, you can run the same turbo's for years. The maintenance is mostly changing oil and checking Data Logger. I have ran Super Farm, Pro Stock,

This year has shown lower #'s in every class ! When the Pullers are trying to save money, they don't lean on the engines as hard. Repairs cost money.

Start @ your 36 degree and keep bumping it up. I use to run 42 degrees on a 505 c.i. Deere 10 years ago. Ran great.

You put up the money to run two trucks and then tell me how easy it is ! Yes Joe works on the truck, but who does all the research and pays for the parts, entries, fuel, hauler expenses, tags, insurance, repairs and more. I would say Mike works long hours to make the money it cost to campaign two trucks !

Looking to down size. Pulling 2 trucks is a lot of work, when doing it yourself.

Mount a spring loaded switch or a starter push button switch so when the gear shift lever is moved in reverse position it will depress the switch.

Most Pullers [ Not All] who build a LLSS are on a limited budget and pull closer to home. If it would become a Grand National or Champions Tour Class, it would cost double or maybe even triple to build & compete. IMO

Maybe it should be like the Deli at your Super Market, when you drop off your pulling engine and say you get number 44. Then you get put in line for your build . Then the builder follows the order they came in. Then when they call Number 44 !!! All excited i yell "NUMBER 44, I'M GETTING ME SOME PULLING PARTS" Ooh my Goodness, now there's a concept!! LOL

Been pulling over 40 years. Getting anything done on time has always been a problem. I know of countless pullers waiting on builders to complete pieces and/or parts for pulling vehicles. It sadness me that Builders will take on a new project went they still have more projects than they can finish in a year or two. I just wish they would tell me it's going to be 6 months or next year before t

Skip all the head aches and put a 7.6L or a 8.1L engine in your tractor if rules allow. Better flowing head and less expensive in the long run!

It's gotten to the point where you have to own a GN Tractor or Truck to compete at the State Level and even some Brush Hooks !!! Not fun anymore when you go to a Truck or Tractor Pull and can't win enough money to put fuel in the tank to get home !!! I'm letting mine set in the Shed.

Not about the Diesel smell, I grew up smelling diesel smoke from our old farm tractors, . This is about the additives! There is chemicals that when they go through a internal combustion engine, will cause cancer, lung problems and even death !! If i am a spectator i don't know who is running what crap in the fuel !!

Good Lord, You can go anywhere and get a Styrofoam coffee cup. How hard is it to test your own fuel before you go to a Tractor Pull ??? Besides that, who in there right mind wants to breath the toxic fumes produced from burning all this crap in the Diesel fuel. Anyone against the Styrofoam cup test must lead you to believe that they want to run it also ?? JMO

The 4WD tractor engines should have never been allowed in the first place. IMO Terry Blackbourn is the best in the Business when it comes to Alcohol Super Engines. Anything they build is very hard to beat on a Consistence basis. Blackbourn's will always be in the top, no matter what rules are changed ! Don't know what the answers are, but would be nice to see some new blood in the class

Clevite H series use to be what we used, Reliance brand main and rod bearings are made for lower performance engines. Although i have heard of pullers using them when in a pinch.

There is so many combinations available but here is the more common others are running; Case IH is using DT360 or 414 destroked for Alky and small cu. in. diesel, Then DT 466 in the large cu. in. diesel. John Deere is using 379, 414 or 404 cu. in. destroked for Alky and small diesel cu. in. , Then the 466 or 7.6L for large diesel, Agco and others run mostly 5.9L or 6.7L cummins for Alky and dies
