I had a decent rear view camera on my tractor and had varying success. If the sun was to your back, it washed out the picture. Sun to your front, could barely see it. Night vision? Not as great… but when it did work, was very nice to see how close I was to center and how far from the sled I was. Unfortunately, I removed it because it hurt more than it helped most of the time. I will say though th

I’ve actually won twice, chose the electronic Visa card, once $200 and once $100. Spent just like a gift card you’d be holding, nice for online purchases, just gotta type in the number like you would with a credit card you’re holding onto, 100% legit.

Reading the fine print - sounds like they require 200 competitors to sign up for the program, and in order to qualify that puller needs to spend $400 on their products. 200x$400=$80,000. And then they’re paying back 25% of that in the $20,000 prize pool. And that’s IF all criteria are met. I’m not an ATPA member so it doesn’t matter to me, but the headline had me intrigued. I guess it’s still a g

I have one on my tractor. Multi useful - helps to see when backing up around the pits, can see how close/straight you are to the sled when backing up…has been a real good $40 investment for me. I’m a bigger guy in a tight rollcage so turning around isn’t that easy. For sure recommend it.

Generally lower is better for the front end; the lower it is the lower the center of gravity and the farther it has to travel to “lift up” under load, helps if you don’t have much movable weight. If you have plenty of movable weight, it probably boils down to your opinion on how it looks.

Don’t know much about the 560, but in general…instead of focusing on “shaving/losing weight”, think about simply transferring the weight you already have. For instance I run a diesel and this year we put our fuel tank, water tank, water injection pump, battery, etc up front between the tires. There’s actually a lot of wasted space up there so if you don’t have all of those required “peripherals”

Can you verify the class list? First, the list above doesn’t match the one on the website, and neither mention Limited Light Superstock, which I believe are supposed to be there. Thanks in advance.

We started out with a 4000 trans and rear behind a 304 4-cyl. Not sure what our HP number was, but we tore 7th gear out of it twice...and after the second time we went with a 5000 trans and rear and haven’t had an issue since (10+ years). The rear end will hold up fine but the trans is a bit weak for a pulling application, in my opinion.

I’ll second that. Very good to work with and high quality trailers. My dad bought one a couple years ago and very pleased with it.

LLSS allowing alcohol tractors or diesel only? I only ask because originally this was a Mid-State event (diesel only) but the listing above doesn’t specify. Thanks!

I was at the meeting in December and there was no mention of it. If it’s something that a group of pullers wants...they should probably come to the meeting and say something. I do know that Mid-State Pullers is having a hot farm class this coming year, not sure on any exact details but somewhere in the 11,500# range I believe. Maybe if there’s success there, those teams will propose the class for

The 6.7 in a NH tractor was made by Iveco, not Cummins. Similar but not the same. I have a 6.7 Iveco in stock form for sale if you’re interested in it...

I think Lloyd was from Beaver Dam, WI. He called it the Midnight Massey. Also campaigned a Midnight Massey II in the early 2000s. Pulled light and heavy super stock; I saw them make some nice passes over the years; also saw them struggle to get the new tractor lit quite a few times - but when it did run it ran really good. Sons Brian and Joe took over the driving after while and haven’t heard muc

I’m guessing that you already have a Ford 7000 that you’re looking to build for this class; but just in case you don’t, and you want to add color and be sure to compete, check out a late model New Holland with the 6.7L Iveco engine, which already has a rotary pump, at 411 cubes (assuming this would be allowed as most places give 1%). Not many of them out there pulling but seems like a better opti

I don’t have any HP numbers but if you search Stick Boy Pulling Team on Facebook, or on YouTube, you’ll find a lot of videos of a 4cyl Ford. You’ll have to scroll a bit on Facebook back when it had 5000 sheet metal on it. That’s a good example of a single 3x3 charger at 304 cubes with a Bosch P-pump. Although it ran really good, it was competitive with the 4020s, but not really “ahead” of them. T

Not claiming to be a physics expert but I do know that my hot farm tractor had a relatively short wheelbase and it was always a bear to drive straight no matter where we put our moveable weight (typically had 1000 lbs to play with) We changed the angle of our hitch one day just to try something new and it has never run straighter. Literally a night and day difference. We raised the "front" of the

I couldn't tell you how much your steel rims weigh, but I have aluminum 18x38s that weigh 84 lbs each. I think there is a lighter model (Keizer) out there that is even a few pounds lighter than mine. Hope that helps
