That 212"+- and 19" sounds good to me.
I would rather have an 8-ply for weight reasons...
I'll have to look at my current Firestones but I think but 5/8 bar is what I'm thinking.
I've already told you I would be all in for trying the 18.4s on our Massey!

We pull in East Central Illinois with the Illiana Pullers Association.
Here is our youtube channel:
All these runs were on our old 354 in 2nd-High and we have just finished building and dyno-ing our new 365 12-port head with a P-Pump.

Looking for test and tunes early in the year, anything around?
We are in NE Illinois, but figured we would have to travel some to get to a pull!
Thanks!

I ageee, I think a 7:00 start across the board would be better.
Obviously I'm more of a fan of tractors, but I understand.... everyone has their thing and that's why I love Gordyville as well!
I still think Thursday was the best night of pulling I've seen there in a long time. Loved the 4.1s!

I agree with the 4x4 diesels. I'm not a fan of them inside...
That being said, the rest of the show has been fantastic!!
No joke, I think Thursday Night was the best night of pulling I've seen in Louisville in a while! The fair board and pull committee really made some great changes and I hope more are to come!

Normally they have a look over the tractor at the pull...
Per the IPA website:
Old Skool Tractors
1. Tractors must be or 1953 or older
2. Tractors should be restored to as near original as possible with original fuel tank, hood and radiator
in place as intended by manufacturer.
3. Belt driven fans must be shrouded in .125" steel 360 degrees.
4. Electric driven fans are allowed.

Just need to make a little room around some chassis cross-members.

Per ITPA website:
Attention Prospective 7800# Pro Farm Pullers
The ITPA Board will consider adding this as an ITPA class for the 2017 pulling season if we have at least 10 competitors (that have vehicles built for this class) pay 2017 ITPA membership and insurance fees by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016. If there are not 10 competitors that join, those who did join will receive a

So this is what I've found with research.
354.1 head < 354.4/1006 7-port heads < 1006 12-port head.
I dont have numbers to back it up yet, but I've been told that the 1006 12-port head flows almost twice as much as the 7-port head.
The 12-port heads came on everything 1997.5 model year and newer.

Is there anyone around with experience of getting these motors to the 600+ hp range?

One tractor came to Arthur, and I'm not sure about Altamont.
We finally have ours together and are hoping to make an exhibition hook at the Will County Fair and Pontiac (Central States Thresherman's Reunion).
Ours is actually currently built for the IPA's 6500# Outlaw class but we will make the jump if it becomes a full-time class in ITPA.

It's a Crower 3 disk and when we push in pedal it makes a howling sound and stops once we let pedal out.
The tractor moves the way it should, something is just not right.
