QuoteFor The Love Of Pulling
Stretch, sorry that I just seen this it was a busy weekend for me. The selections lock at 7pm Eastern time on the Wednesday of the week. I decided on this for when there are weeks that have pulls that have Wednesday or Thursday.
Thanks for clarify, I’ll make sure to get my picks in earlier. Also, thanks again for managing this!

I tried to make my week 4 picks tonight but it says the form is already closed. Just curious why it’s closed already? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing, very cool to see stuff from across the pond.
Is CaseIH a sponsor? I noticed the flags at the end of the track.

Also need to note that 11 weeks before The Pullers Championship she had her knee surgically repaired. During the Ship pull she was working with that bad knee.
I noticed she had a brace on. Glad to see her pushing through and completing her job. There are several people I know who could learn a thing or two from her work ethic.

I'm unsure if its the same girl, but the girl who works Gordyville/Gordywana is a workhorse. She is no slouch for sure!

What that means is, there is no increase in hook fee's if you're not a member of the organization. Everyone pays the same hook fee regardless of membership.
After rereading the original post, I understand now. I got excited when I saw no hook fees! Thanks for clearing that up.

No hook fee? I'm not in your area, but I've never seen that. Does the payout come from sponsor money? Kudos to Full Pull Productions for that.

Looks like a fun pull! Unfortunately too far for me to go, but I hope you have a good turnout. Post videos if you have any after the event. Thanks!

Depending on the horsepower, mileage (or hours) and general overall condition of the looks of the engine they are going anywhere from $2000-$3000 around here for a Dodge truck engine. 160hp on the lower end of that, 215hp on the higher end.
Industrial, medium duty, and stationary engines are going for much less
I see the same general pricing in Ohio.

I assume this is Johnson county Indiana? I noticed the Singer sled and did a quick Google search. Post the address (I’m assuming the fairgrounds), for those of us looking to attend. Thanks!

Do It! - 2 years ago
I have a few channels I watch from time to time on YouTube. My viewing revolves around farming, trucking, excavation, and mechanics. I also watch pulls from different parts of the country, I would gladly welcome a pulling team channel. It would be great to see behind the scenes of a team!

As a small time puller and spectator the fuel prices will definitely affect how many and how far I go. $4 a gallon hurts, but $5+ a gallon is a deal breaker for me. I'm not paying that much for fuel if I don't have to buy it.

I thought the picture could have been better. Not sure why they couldn't stream it in 1080. Instead we got it in 480, which is fine, but a HD quality stream would make it that much better!
Maybe I'm just used to low quality tv's! I'm sure it could have been better but it worked just fine for us.

They are pulling the opposite direction for MATS, so it makes sense. This is probably the reason for pulling the opposite direction.

Fourteen of us that couldn’t make the show got together in the shop and watched the finals. Sound was not very good but the picture was great! We had a great time laughing and carrying on. I’m very glad the livestream is available.

I’m definitely interested! I remember years ago there was a fantasy tractor pulling page, but I’m not sure it ever got off the ground. I believe it was part of the Miles beyond 300 site?
Are you thinking of doing it the same format as Louisville? (Pick the winner). How will you do this for pulls in the summer that don’t have a drivers list ahead of time? What association pulls are you pla

Yep as much as I like my v8’s I wouldn’t start with one, parts pretty much have to be made now I would go orange or blue if starting over
That’s a good enough reason to stay away. I was talking to the owner of a local Massey dealer recently specifically about parts availability for an 1155. He acted like he was not having an issue getting parts for one he was restoring, although

Something to consider: a Massey 1105 has a 354ci engine vs a Massey 1155 has a 540ci engine. The 1155 is a little heavier but will get to 12500 no problem. The main difference is the 1105 is an inline 6 vs the 1155 is a V8.
Maybe you have already thought this through and if so I’d be interested in hearing your reasoning for an 1105. Good luck and keep us updated!

A 4255 or 4455 might be a decent one to look for, although they seem to be harder and harder to find.
They had the 7.6 which gives a little more flexibility down the road. 55 series heads usually can flow good too.
That had the quad range too
Definitely a good option if the OP is dead set on Deere. I'm a Deere guy myself but I enjoy watching all kinds of tractors on the

Where is a place buy something reasonable? I guess I am looking for a JD 4030 thur 4455 quad. Can you get a 46xx or 48xx under weight?
A 4030 comes stock with a 329ci engine. You are going to want to find a 466 if possible. The 30 series Deere’s are 404 engines, unless somebody has done an engine swap. You need to get into the 40 series and above to have a 466 from the factory.
