Hello, we have been using Google sheets for a number of years now to handle our sign up's and offer live results on our website. It has worked great for us.
We recently switched to using a "single" sheet to view results on our website, rather than a link to each individual class. On larger events, it was a pain to have to scroll to find each class every time.

Jacobsen Center - Iowa State Fairgrounds. Would be awesome.
Lancaster Event Center - Lincoln, NE. Was a great event at the time.
Jacobsen Center would be sweet, might be able to sneak a 225' track in there if you could have the sled hanging out the into the warmup arena area.

Should piggy back a pull at the Dome in St. Louis after the dirt late model race that is there this weekend.
See they used to have a 2 track show inside there once upon a time, 1996 time frame.
The UNIDome in Cedar Falls, IA would be fun to bring that back, but it'll never happen.

NTPA results at some events are "rear time". Not immediate but posted not long after the pull is over. Multiple events on a given day, entry clerks juggling lots of items and sometimes just poor internet/wireless connections.
Can you tell me about not keeping the pulling fan up to date? Not being a smart ass, just would realy like to know. you can send to my email. thanks

In all my years taking videos of brush pulls to NTPA/Outlaw/PPL pulls, I've noticed that anything longer than 3hrs is to long for a pull if you want to keep a crowd. This is of course outside of your large destination pulls (BG, Louisville, etc).
Your crowd is usually the largest about 15-20 minutes after the advertised start, and it will start dwindling about 2.5 ish hours after it star

EFI/Common rail should be allowed in every class. There hasn't been a carbureted truck from the factory since the mid 80's and mechanical pumps on tractors haven't been used on diesel tractors in years.

The Yankee race filled up the stock car field of 250 cars within an hour or 2. I believe it was $500 entry, and then they added another 50 spots and there still is a waiting list.
Pullers all but throw a fit to pay a couple hundred for a club membership these days. Even the Pullers Championship advertising large payouts, classes still seem to be a little short on occasion.

I don't necessarily think it should come down only to the amount of hooks your particular class has for that season.
One should also take into consideration other factors such as insurance, payouts, pit passes, organization, teching, points payback, banquet, venues, etc.

We use Google Sheets. This updates live to our website, as we embed each class spreadsheet into our website. www.ecipa.net
Our scorekeeper updates the spreadsheet with the lineup and then again with distances as the pull progresses. It works pretty good and doesn't cost us anything except a little bit of time setting up the spreadsheet and embedding into our website.

When was the last time you picked up a newspaper, magazine or anything printed?
Everything is available online these days, often time information is posted seconds after anything happens. Gone are the days you need a magazine for results or pictures for an event. Social media and the world wide web has all of that and then some basically instantaneously.

Video editing is time consuming, maybe it's gotten easier than when I was going gung ho 2 years ago. To build your brand, you need to post consistently on multiple platforms. I feel that this is a good idea, but needs to be handled at the team level, not relying on somebody else to come around and follow you. Millennial Farmer has a channel of his race team, does a pretty decent job I though

Good question. Always wondered why our rules for various classes do not allow for modern or current production parts to be used. Common rail, EFI, 24v heads, overhead cams, etc.. If it comes from the factory with it, it should be allowed to be used for competition in my opinion.

So Badger State change their rules to appease some random internet puller that can't even sign their name? Got it. I'll run that past our members tomorrow at our annual rules meeting and see if we should change our rules on a whim for random people on the internet who may or may not ever come and pull with us.

I'll chime in on this a bit with some thoughts.
Our club, ECIPA, provides 2 pit passes with each vehicle membership, with the option to buy a 3rd, no more than 3 pit passes maximum per vehicle.
I feel that is fair, some guys come by themselves while others have a whole posse. It's not fair to a promoter/fair to let the puller who comes with 15 other people in free.

Pulling is 100% an entertainment business. Every pull you go to outside of your literal backyard hooked to your tractor for a test pull is put on for entertainment purposes. To think otherwise is being delusional.
Fairs and promoters can make 1 phone call, like mentioned above, and replace a pull with a whole host of other options, and most of the time for much less work and possibly for less
