Re: new compressor rule for PPL - 3 months ago

Does your GT42 measure 3" or 2.99 or less? Anything under 3.000" shouldn't require it per the rule.

The link is 14 years old guys. The full pull website hasn't existed for probably 10 years now.

Re: LLSS tires and weight - 10 months ago

Jake, as someone heavily invested in the class, I fully agree with everything you said there! Weight will ruin the class along with different turbos for different engine combinations.

10 ply ag firestones are the lightest I am aware of at roughly 245 each.

Re: Spending Their Inheritance Wreck in Ocala - 2 years ago

Tomah winner, Tom Inspected mine at an outlaw hook and alerted me that I needed to weld the split in the ring to make sure this exact thing didn't happen so the answer is YES the outlaws do.

Re: twin chargers - 2 years ago

So are you still allowing the 1%? A D312 on alky with twins might just be one hell of a ride!

Re: Off the wall idea - 2 years ago

Tom mcconnel tried a reality show back in 2016 with hooked on dirt kind of like what you are talking about, its on youtube.

It was the Gray version of the Old Ironsides sled built in 1997 or 1998

Re: Gear ratio to track speed - 2 years ago

You could figure wheel speed, but track speed will be hard to do. You would have to know your % of slip and that will change depending on track conditions etc.

Re: outlaw app/outlawpullingtv - 3 years ago

Actually, according to outlawpulling.tv its only available on a pc or chromecast now, no longer offered on roku. That stinks, guess I'm buying a chromecast lol

Re: Insurance - 3 years ago

If your club gives you a card that says USPA on it you have good insurance.

Re: LLSS question - 3 years ago

Yes you can even in the Outlaw LSS rules you still can with a 359

Re: Uniform rules at the national level. - 3 years ago

30 years ago was 1992, there were no narrow fronts in that time frame in LSS.

Re: Opinions needed - 3 years ago

several have done the 706, its not easy, but can be done, do yourself a huge favor and get rid of the 282, either get ahold of a dt360 or you can destroke a 414 to get to 370, 360 would be the cheaper route.

Re: Interesting video about John Deere strike - 3 years ago

I usually find myself being against the unions, but after watching the news feed of the striking workers, I understand their reasoning and side with them. A welder on the factory floor that has been working there for 15 years making $19.62/ hour isn't ok in 2021.

Re: 2022 NTPA RULES - 3 years ago

How is the unlimited not like that? the only rule is on the overdrive of a screw blower for safety concerns, if you can get 6 with screws to make weight you are welcome to run them.

Re: Rent a limited pro stock - 3 years ago

Another thing that could help out is having a test track/sled available to practice on a couple times (or more) instead of just turning someone loose at a pull

Re: Recast heads - 3 years ago

What's the point of limiting to cast if there are no water jackets? You basically are building a billet head out of cast. Wouldn't it be cheaper/easier to go to billet not to mention much easier to repair?

Re: I wonder if NTPA can do the same thing? - 4 years ago

MG1206 just go to walmart and get yourself a roku express for $30 and plug it into your non smart tv and you can download the mavtvplus app and it will work great!

Re: Fire ring - 4 years ago

As cheap as they are from seal tec why would you want to make your own? Not trying to come off as a dick but I thought they were like $3 each from sealtec and you know they are made of the right metal.

Re: 1/2" crossbolts - 4 years ago

I did see that USPA insurance did update the rule to 1/2" grade 5 bolts, but haven't seen anything from ntpa.

Duane Schroeder tried that on his Cornhusker Deere and never could get it off the line.
