I also run a 12k winch (got it from Rural King) for my 11K lb tractor. I've weighted up to 12K and had no problem pulling it on my trailer with a snatch block. I connected it to one single group 31 (high amp) battery and have it connected to the trailer wiring harness so it'll charge off the truck while driving.

Looking for advice/pictures for repowering a 30/40 series tractor with a 8.1L Deere engine. We've done several engine swaps in the past, but this one looks to be more challenging because of the front cover, damper, water pump/thermostat housing location, water pump outlet on RH side of engine. Looking at it and doing some measuring, it looks like a 404/466 front cover, water pump, and thermo

Redguy_66 - I'd like to learn more about how you used the Arduino. I was looking into this recently and happened to stumble on to your comment in this thread.

Pullers - Be sure to use the back entrance off University to gain access to the pits. You can't use the Northmoor (front) entrance with a tractor/trailer.

One of the BIGGEST Open Farm pulls in the country is back again! This year we welcome the addition of the Illiana Pullers Association (IPA) with three of their sanctioned classes.
Non-sanctioned Classes:
- 12,500LB Open Farm RWYB. 20.8 tire width limit (18.4-42, 20.8-38, and/or 20.8-42 ok), no RPM limit, cut tires allowed, water injection only allowed (no N20, Propane, etc.,) intercooler allo

Better off to run a 467 S400 Borg Warner with this setup. GT42 (whether it's 4294 or 4202) isn't going to lug as well with only 466 cubes and that larger compressor wheel - especially if you can't run a cooler and don't have a P pump. Not to mention you get a .90a/r turbine housing option for fine tuning to help lug down low in the RPMs, where I believe the GT42 only goes down

I went down this road a few years ago and found that using a 55 series manifold will allow the T4 S300 turbine housing to bolt on the manifold, but the issue is still the water manifold clearing the compressor cover.
Has anyone put an S300 on the stock T3 (4430-4640 style) exhaust manifold and used an adapter (T3 to T4) plate? what kind of spacer is needed (to get away from water manifold/t-s

And that's how you ban the 700A (and PSR) Literally.
Per your message the other day, I thought we were good to come North. I'll be at Lewistown instead.

He told me to bring Yellow for the open classes... I'm happy to make the trip back and support the event if it's open speed / open turbo like the flyer implies (open farm). I'd even throw it in the pro farm class just for fun if safety/insurance allows.

^^ That's what I was thinking... because isn't the 3010/3020 rear end the same that was used on the 4030 tractors with the smaller engines??!! the 4000.10.20's were 3-3/8" axles as well.

We were going to do the same thing in our 4230, and instead put a turbo charged 404 in from a 7700 combine (brother's tractor, he made the decision not me lol). Very straight forward swap and I've compared the tractor to the 4020 we have since we also have a 466 motor sitting in the corner of the shed just waiting for my project tractor in the near future. If you're using the combi

^^^ I agree with G Man. It will be a bear swapping into a 3020 compared to a 4000, 4010, or 4020. Perhaps if you found a parts 40xx tractor, you would be able to use that front end with the 3020 rear like he suggested. Also, make sure you know which 466 motor you're getting. Different sized bolt holes for engine mounts to frame, and different water pump setups among other things.
