A 1550 rear end won't take that. They're still a spur gear rear end, they can easily be broken at 6500 lb with 200hp. A 1650 rear end would be a better choice, 1850 would be good if you don't need to get under 7500 without some work.

You already have a CID limit, and a 3lm limit. Let them all run P pumps.

If you machine the driveshaft drive tang down for the DB head you can put a .45 right in a DM housing. Done it several times.

At 3000 rpm and 10mm A pump limit, I'd be real tempted to see if they'd let you run a rotary at 14mm. with a stock cam plate they're still reliable, and while I don't know what lift the A pumps are running, a 14mm plunger will move twice the fuel that a 10mm will at the same lift. 3000 Rpm really isn't a issue for a rotary.

I love how guys claim their ported stock farm tractor heads flow comparable or more air than high performance automotive big block heads that are designed for airflow. Seems like there's a awful lot of manometer's that need replaced. For example, Trick flow's race version of the A460 head uses a 2.350 intake valve flows 423 cfm at .800 valve lift. measure your valves and lift. You

Blocks - 14 years ago
The first thing I'm going to address is the ultimate question, "what's going to happen when you reach the limits of a billet block?" First off, a billet block would start out as a rectangular piece of typically steel normally the width of the oil pan rail and slightly longer and higher than the finished piece. for the most part blocks get narrower as they go up. To copy this means mac

A cummins was never bolted to that rear end from the factory, but off the shelf oem factory white/oliver parts do exist to bolt a 5.9 or a 8.3 to that rear end. We are a White/AGCO and Cummins dealer and I have never found any information that either have a "kit" to put one in a Oliver. Cummins does build a engine reccomended for a Oliver conversion, but it's combination of parts is not my f

Put yourself in a different point of view next time a block lifts in front of you. Pretend you are the owner or builder. Pretend that when someone gets seriously injured (horrible enough as it is in itself) that your ass could potentially liable in someone's eyes. Pretend that someone could be telling YOU that it's YOUR fault that their child/parent/ect is dead. Being the guy snapping

If you want 640 go with pro stock, super stock, or super farm. Creating another 640 class is the stupidest thing somenone could think up. What manufacturer built a 2wd farm tractor with a engine out of the 466-540 range? You guys that want 640 might as well say you want 619, because that's what you're really after. 99% of those that want 640 probably also bought a football bat thinking

It would not be hard to destroke one, there's a couple of challenges. either rod ratio exceeds 2:1 or piston weight exceeds that of a small SUV. Or you can make jugs and solve both those problems. The 4 main setup is not a wonderful plan. huge rod ratio and 4 main crank don't work together well at all. Thought about building a girdle with the other 3 main caps in it,and either turn a

I'm not against the theory, but if it's a box turbo, and I blow mine, or it's wore out, and I wanna go tractor pulling tommorrow or they're on backorder, does that mean I can just buy yours and be ready to go pulling? Sounds like you would be screwed then. Sounds like a good way to bump you out of the points. Unless you always wanna keep a spare in your back pocket.

If I remember right the biggest waukesha was somewhere around 4500 CID. I've got a 451 and a gk195. What's the point in discussing a engine that's not legal for what we're doing. Might have been for him, it's not for this class. I like the 1710 plan.
