To me, putting the solar panels over good crop ground is a huge waste. If you want to put them on top of buildings or things like that, go for it. I think the bigger problem is these contracts. They are guaranteeing big money for long terms, but what happens when they go bankrupt. When happens when that contract keeps getting bought out. That happened just north of where I am. The 1st contract bu

Do any pullers have their own Youtube channel? If no, then why not? I was talking to my nephew this weekend and he was showing me some of the Youtube channels he likes. I can not believe how simple they are and how terrible the content was on some of them. And these guys are making a living doing it. There is a pile of mechanic/automobile channels. And a ton of farming channels. I would think it

I don't know much about Tom's past. But I did announce a couple pulls with him. One in 2019 and one in 2021. It's a local brush pull and they were looking for someone to announce the limited pro, LLSS, and hot farm classes. They come to me and asked me to do it. I said I would give it a try. I don't know how they found Tom. But he was there. I have never know much about him. I

To .. I was at an event last year where they tested a guys fuel and it come back illegal. He said is was VP and that was a legal fuel. So they went back to his trailer and tested a brand new can of VP and it also failed.

To your original post, I don't see the horsepower wars slowing down any time soon. But the technology has come so far in the last 40 years, it gives us the ability to create so much more. Comparing todays pulling vehicles to even 30 years ago isn't accurate. Use trucks as an example. Look what you could tow with a mid 90's pickup, and now look at what they are rated at. And the cos

David Runkle, Badger State's LLSS class is great and it works. It is my favorite class to watch. The rules give for close coopetition every time. I had the pleasure of announcing your class when all you guys came to Platteville, WI a couple of weeks ago. You guys were great. My announcing, not so much. But the NTPA really needs to let this class alone.

Okay, S'no Farmer. Can I ask. Do you agree that it would be too confusing? To me, I feel it could be done. The LLSS class does it. Heck, they have 2 different tire sizes also. However, you bring up another questions that I have always wanted to know. How come there isn't something at the scale that says the class, what they run for hitch height, and what they run for weight. I understa

Sno Farmer. I want to start by trying to stay on your original question. If you told me to today to pick a class to build a mod, I would probably put a Light Limited Modified and run primarily with the Outlaw organization. Probably go Allison engine, build my own chassis (regardless of how well it works, I would like to try to build my own chassis), and the rest of the driveline I could go a coup

I for one like to see the sheet metal match the block. Just my opinion. But we talk about the fans not caring. Is the reason they don't care because they just don't know. How many times does an announcer actually talk about what's under the hood. If every time a red prostock hit the track and they announce it was powered by a Deere, the red fans would care. I have been to pulls whe

They moment they intend to hook to the sled there should be added safety. I feel that everything that hooks to a sled should have a kill switch at minimum. Regardless of what it is. All tractors should have wheelie bars. We have all seen those pictures with some farm tractor hooked to a sled looking like it's about ready to tip over backwards. There should always be a way to kill the machine

I really don't have any room to say if the 4.1's should go component or not(I have no involvement other than knowing a hand full of guys that run them). But the talk about safety in this class is interesting. I am all about safety. But if switching this class to component chassis is purely for safety reasons, then there are many more class that should be changing their safety rules. The

I love this topic. My dad took me to pulls growing up. Not many, but we did go. Even to this day, my dad and I go and attend pulls together. He has never pulled anything big, just his 1200pd Outlaw tractor, But he is going to be 82 next June and isn't showing any sign of quitting. Along with that, my son has been going to pulls since he was a baby and started pulling garden tractors at age 4

I do have a laugh every time someone gets on here an accuses Wagler for cheating, and Wagler responds with what his setup is. Explains in detail how it works. Then the dude lists his phone number at the end of his post if you have questions.
Next the comment, "Heard the 4.1s might have a rule change to allow components cause the ppl champion got caught using a component and has for the past fe

I don't mind pulloff's. But if they are going to do some type of pull off, I would rather see them bring back the top 3 or 5 later in the event. Not anyone over a certain distance. As for the distance they run, give me a tight group around the 320'. Maybe someone goes 330 for the win. Now along with that, I talked to some ProStock drivers after an event last year where the winner

I am bummed that the LSS class will not be in Cloverdale. It is my favorite class to watch. However, I get it. We go to this pull as a family. I have been to indoor pulls and the alcohol tractors fumes get bad. My wife and son won't enjoy it. So I understand a promoter not not wanting those fumes in the building. I understand the NTPA trying to come up with an idea to control the fumes. I al

I have to ask, are any of the discussions that happen on here actually helping? I come onto Pull Off a couple times a week to read what everyone is thinking. I generally do not voice my opinion. This is primarily because I do not have anything in the "big show". However, yes, I am involved in pulling and have been for years. But what I want to know, what are we accomplishing by all of these discu

To "what is grand national", I agree that we need to fill the seats. However, class numbers do play a big part on the show. I will agree that you don't need a class of 50. However, 10 classes of 5 is equally as bad. When you go to an event 8-14 in a class seams to put on the best show. Just my opinion.

I have felt for years that Facebook pages are great for pulling. Every team should have one, regardless of what you pull. It's free advertising for the sport. We run outlaw garden tractors and my son runs stock garden tractor, and we have hundreds of followers. Yes I do post many pictures of big tractors and some driver interviews that I do, but everything helps. Feel free to check it out. H
