Aeromotive A1000. May not seem cheap right away, but it'll have the flow, so its cheaper than seizing a head in a 13mm rotary...........

Considering how the block is cast for the mushroom-style lifter, I don't see there being enough meat in the block to bore the lifter holes for a standard roller lifter & fit them to the block.
But, I'd like to be proven wrong on this one..........

IH also offered a turbo exhaust manifold for the 282, they offered it as a dealer installed kit for the 560. The manifold has a T4 flange on it. The part number for the manifold was 306656R1. Personally, I've come across more IH turbo setups on 560's than I have M&W setups.

If it is a turbocharged 407 with a C4 block, the odds are pretty good it has the big wrist pin rods.

The Northeast Nebraska Tractor Pullers will be hosting a Tornado Relief for Pilger, NE tractor pull on August, 31st, starting at 12:00 at the Wisner Water Park in Wisner, NE. We will have two sleds there, the Big Red Sled and the Showboat sled. All proceeds will be going to the Tornado relief funds for those affected around Stanton, Pilger, Wisner, and other Northeast Nebraska areas from the st

Some of the Nebraska 3000's will probably stay in Pierce that night, as they're able to hook with the Nebraska Bush later that night.

I'm adding this pic, only because evidently it can be done. Looks to me like this 1030 has the original block (noted by the oil filter), but has later 70 or 90 series heads on it, as that's the style exhaust manifold and water manifold for a 970, 1070, or whatnot. This is the only pic I have, came across it somewhere else on the net & saved it. I'd like to know what it took to d

The CaseIH 4391TA irrigation power units (basically a 4 cylinder Cummins) came with a Bosch A pump. Most Case equipment applications that used the 336BD engine used a 4 cylinder A pump, W14 payloaders use the 336 a lot.

Your CaseIH dealer can order you the frost plugs you need to drive into the bottom housing where the draft sensing shaft was on your 856.

A 2+2 axle will bring good money, for the simple fact that the ring & pinion, and differential are very hard to come by if repairs are needed. The front axle of a 2+2 IH (33, 35, 37, 63, 65, 6788) are not heavy axles, the internals are much like those from the smaller IH 574, 674 utility tractors. The IH 510/515 payloaders used similar axles, only with planetary hubs rather than bar axles.

How many different mounting plates does IH have? Im in need of the one that has the studs that are center to center 2 inch apart for the side ones. This bolt pattern makes a perfect rectangle. The case pump PES6A.....that i have has the smaller foot print. From what ive been told, i need the plate, hub, and gear from a DT360. Can anybody help? Thanks Donnie

You need the adapter plate & pump drive gear off of an IH DT/DTA360 engine, from like a schoolbus or mid-sized Navistar truck, like a 4300 or 4900. Navistar put a lot of A pumps on the DT/DTA360 engine.

I see on the driver lineup there is a 3000 rpm class. What is this?
Same class as Northeast Nebraska has, only with full safety equipment. 466 cube, 3LM box turbo, 10mm A pump.

Is the head in the pump still a 10mm head?

Diesel Performance is in Savannah, MO. I wouldn't get a pump there again, there are better alternatives.

What's the rules for that class? I'm curious more than anything, but I couldn't find any pump, engine, or turbo rules.

I've used the double disc clutch & T/A from Allied in the 1206 with good results. One thing I will suggest you do after installation, is unhook the linkage for the dump valve on the MCV valve. Its really not stated to do this, but you'll soon find it impossible to get it adjusted with a double disc. Without unhooking it, the double disc will be ready to engage while the MCV is still

I didn't have it filled all the way to the top, and that was what led to the demise of that engine. Chalk that one up to experience learned. I used 2290 pistons with 1456 407 rods. Gotta machine a lil off the bottom of the pistons also to clear the lobes on the camshaft. It had a 3LM-466 & an A-pump on it. I could have maybe had less machined off the block & just used a thinner copper h

When I had one built that way, I had the block decked. Can't remember how much, enough to get the Case piston to have about equal height to the top of the block as the 407 piston did. Some days I wonder about how I assembled that first engine & it had to be just dumb luck that it ran as long & hard as it did!

You should have no problem with a 3LM-466 turbo on there, many setups like your spin a 3LM-466 turbo. You'll need to have a 1" thick spacer plate machined to sandwich between the manifold & the turbo, in order to raise it up high enough for the compressor housing of the turbo to clear the thermostat housing of the DT407.
