Wish I had a dollar for the phrase [ your asking to much for your tractor, I can build it for 1/2 of that ]. I have built over 12 tractors in the past 17 years. Yes you can build a tractor for 1/2 the cost but in most cases it won't have the best parts or a top contender. The cost to build a tractor today the 1st one I built has about doubled. Majority of the time it's will save you a

I agree with New Guy to a point. When i want to sell a parts or tires, I try to give a very good description, picture and a price. But like now i'm trying to sell my Alcohol Super. I put a picture and description of tractor. I didn't put a price on it because that is between the potential Buyer and myself. There is a lot of nosy people who want to know what your selling your tractor for

I totally agree with you Sam ! You as a promoter of tractor and truck pulling put many hours of time all year long. Also you had a very good OSTPA tractor pull this year. I was there. Former OSTPA fan posted a bad experience he had last night. I can relate, but look at the pulling vehicles they had last night ! Grand National quality pulling Truck and Tractors @ a State event. Not all Truck and T

966, you make me laugh, You give Former OSTPA fan crap about not putting his real name, but you didn't put your name. I was at the pull tonight. Don't blame OSTPA for the Sled Malfunctions. They don't hire the sled guys, that's done by the fair committee. The other problem that slowed down the show was getting the second chain out of the lower drawbar which was covered in dirt

At a Super National Bowling Green Pull Town USA last year it cost me $201 per hook each session. I got a 6th place which paid $635 and 11th place which paid $340. At a Grand National event at Wellington it cost me $166 per hook and 11th place which paid $000.00. After entry fees there is not much left.

I've said this for years, "De-cube" If a builder can take a 466 cu. in. engine to 680 cu. in. , why can't that same builder take a 619 cu. in. engine to 540, 580 or what ever is decided. 35 years ago pickup trucks had 350, 351, and 360 cu. in. engines. Look at them now, 3.7 Eco boost and smaller. Point is- with today's Engine and Turbo Technology I think you would be surprised how

The late 4050 engine plate part # R83132 [ NLA from John Deere ] will fit 4010. It is the only plate that John Deere shows in parts that will work. The 4030 engine plate will fit 3020, but not 4010. You could have a custom engine plate made.

John Deere did make a Power Tech 6068 engine with cross flow head and a bolt on Intake manifold. That head will bolt onto a 359 block. Hope this helps.

If your going to put a 329 or a 359 in a 4010, you will need a backing plate off of a Late John Deere 4050 with a 359 engine. The bell housing bolt pattern are the same on 4010 and 4050. The bell housing bolt pattern on the 3020 and 4030 are the same, but smaller than a 4010. Seems to me you have two choices, 1] use the original 380 cu. in. 4010 engine or 2] try to find a 4050 359 rear engine ad
