Billet steel rods would be my choice and they are more durable for a Diesel powered engine. If you are planning on running Alcohol, i would go with billet aluminum for sure. Billet aluminum rods won't last very long in a high horsepower Diesel engine. The high compression of a diesel puts to much stress on the rods.

I bought this old IH 666 gas tractor to spray with and run the grain auger. It has the Left Hand front lower side panel missing that has 666 decal on it. Checked with 5 or 6 salvage yards but came up short. Thought i would check on Pulloff.com and see if anyone has this panel laying around. Thanks John

You would have to replace the pressure plate assembly only. Crower and Molinari both build the spring loaded pressure plate assy. and i'm pretty sure they do interchange with each other.
Jim, You could add more weight to the clutch levers, but the clutch will still slip if the RPMs fall to low. With the spring loaded pressure plate it will stall the engine before it begins to slip the clu

I would build a Compact Diesel in a heartbeat if the rules allowed more Cu. In. and 34x18x15 cepec's and more weight. 70 cu. , 26x12x12 tires and 1200 lbs. just don't get it for me. I can't build one and drive it at the weight they are now !!!!!!!!!!! Must be a class for small people !!!!!!
