I was just kidding about calling me fat, but I am well over 130! Add a hundred pounds to that! That's the input I'm looking for so thank you George. Trying to avoid costly mistakes so I'm researching whatever I can. Thanks to all who have responded so far. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Couldn't happen to a better guy and a great tractor.

Yes, the trans will be aftermarket and very light but strong. At this point I see the rearend as the weak link and I would rather spend the time and money to do it right the first time so I can spend more time pulling and less time wrenching.

Rules are as long as it's a heritage based motor and it came in that color tractor it's good to go. Tube frame and trans will be just over 300lbs and running aluminum sheet metal. My weight? You calling me fat?

I'm in the planning stages of building a llss tractor. Ih 460 sheet metal, dt360 alcohol motor, very light trans, tube chassis. Where I'm up in the air is on the rearend. The 560 rears make me nervous with all the problems they had. I have access to an 806 rearend and trans housing but am not sure if I can lighten it up enough. I have no problem milling the housing out to lighten it up
