Didn't they just split the Super Stocks? That's the only thing I've heard, because ESP was entertaining the idea, from what I heard, as well. I think splitting the classes is just foolish, but that's just me. OSTPA has a mixed alight Limited Pro Stock class, and it's one of the best classes I've had the pleasure of watching.

Planetaries on an Ag rear are legal in LLSS in S.C.W.T.P., B.O.B. and W.N.Y.P.P.L. Why wouldn't they be? The rules state heritage rear HOUSING, trans housing... Doesn't say anything about what's on or in those housings.

Round tube is stronger than square tube. For sheer strength purposes, always use round tube. Weight wise, for a heavier weight class, the weight you save isn't worth it. In a light class where you're scraping to get every last pound of movable weight, pounds are like gold. In a bug weight class, I'd do channel and as said above, spend the money you save in the motor.

JD Diesel, your explanation of the weight limits is a little confusing, but non-CDL is 26,000lbs and under for the truck and that truck can haul up to a 10,000lb trailer. Anything over those weights would put a driver with no CDL out of class. I'm not sure if that's what you were trying to explain, but your wording made it hard to follow.

I'd let Jason Hootman build a chassis no matter what class. His work is solid and he stands behind it completely. And his welds are a thing of beauty. He'd be my first call. Just my $0.02.

Herm not only purchased Rex's tractor, but his 5020 should be back out, as well. Bonino's tractor that Weavers bought is a solid runner. Should add some nice depth to the class. Especially since the Apparatus will be absent from a few ESP pulls this year as he campaigns PPL.

Yes, the taller deck block is where I was going with the Ag block and the truck crank but failed to mention the taller deck. Lewis came through on that and I'm glad he clarified what I forgot. But the taller deck block and shorter stroke crank from the truck motor will give you the "combustion chamber" I mentioned. As stated, I prefer to do it with a deck plate.

360 wise...the truck block is a bore and stroke of 4.010x4.751 and can be found in many medium duty international trucks. The DTA 360 motors have the best flowing heads out of the box. The Ag 360 is a 3.88 x 5.09 bore and stroke and came in 766's I believe. There are a bunch of guys on here that are far more knowledgeable on tractor engines than I am, so hopefully one of them will chime in.

06 rear ends are too heavy for LLSS. They can be made to work, but will require quite a bit of machining. 460, 560 rears are very popular. Tons of parts for them, and can be made very light. The 666 is also very popular. Tons of parts for it. For an alcohol Motor, the dt360 is your best bet. Similar dimensions to a 5.9 Cummins and a good amount of parts available including some crossover from the

Screaming Bohemian,
While I can appreciate your point of view, I find some inconsistencies in your reply. Let me first say, that my reply above where I stated that driving a truck takes no skill, was inaccurate and rash. But onto some of your points.
Nowhere in my posts did I mention the skill involved in driving a TWD. I just personally don't care for the class. Not my bag. I do

Let's look at this from a physics aspect...4 wheels driving vs 2 wheels, rear wheels spooled together so no need to brake steer since they're both driving the same speed, and no front wheels in the air, so you're just "driving" the truck, and the truck is 1/2 the hp of a tractor at best, 1/3 the hp of a mid pack SS and lucky to be a 1/4 the hp of a Mod... You've obviously neve

That's laughable. I'd like to see a truck guy brake steer on 2 wheels. And let's see...4 wheels locked into the track compared to 2...trucks are child's play.

You have to drive a truck?! The front end stays on the ground. Zero driving ability required to drive a truck. None. I think your logic is severely reversed. With the front end off the ground, your steering wheel is useless. Takes infinite more skill to brake steer a tractor laying down 4000-7000hp, than it does to use a steering wheel with all 4 wheels on the ground with a whole 1200hp. I'm

I can see where you guys are coming from. I just won't pay to travel to see trucks. I'm very happy that locally, my association only fills in with trucks, however...I would love to see a Limited Pro class locally. The show they put on in Wooster was very, very impressive! Fun class of tractors to watch, and the crowd was pretty excited. I do like the frame twisting semis though. He does

I'm not in my late 40's or 50's. There's nothing exciting to me seeing the trucks run. Same run everytime, except when they break an axle and all the action stops as they bring the payloader out, yet again, to pull another truck off the track. And trust me...I spend twice as much money as the "kids" do. I support the associations and the pullers by buying their gear, the 50/50

I have no idea what was the logic behind replacing the Mods at the Ashland pull with 2.6 trucks, but it surely wasn't sound. The Mods might not be the first class I'm there to see, but they are so much more exciting than the 2.6 trucks. Yes...I'm there for tractors, preferably the S.S. classes, but the Prostocks are definitely gaining my interest. But 2.6 trucks? They're barel

I agree with Jake, and everyone else that is in favor of unified rules. There are so many discrepancies in the rules from coast to coast, in all classes let alone LLSS, the last thing that we need is another association to throw their spin on the rules. If you want to draw more tractors, unified rules will do that. Why would you rewrite the rules and disqualify the tractors that already fit the e
