Ag is 5.085 inch stroke. All I'm saying is the 312 crank fits in either 360 block. You have any DTA360 heads Lewis?

Yes, forgot that part. The ag block has a taller deck height.

So a standard bore truck block would come in at 332 cubes with a 312 crank. 312 will fit both truck and again block as they are all the same 300 series with the same bore spacing.

Jason made the most impressive pass of the day, bar none. TWD are and will always be my least favorite and what I consider the least exciting. No offense to those guys. I know they put their time in, but I don't find them interesting or exciting.

I'm curious how they decided which classes to have finals for. I'd rather see a final in the Lights than the 2wd class any day. Way more exciting class.

Neil beat me to it. Very knowledgeable guy. Spent time with me on the phone and was a huge help. Didn't know me from Adam, but took the time to talk to me. I have the Darton part number written down if you need it.

So...another question. I know that an RV and trailer combination in my state and a few others is 65 feet max combination length. Now, if it's titled as an RV(toter), but I have a CDL A with over length endorsements, tandems and triples, am I driving out of class if the combination is 75 feet total? Does over length go off the titled vehicle, or the driver's actual license?

Thanks for the response Richard. I'm leaning towards the tag set up myself. I just hate to give up living space for hitch space for a gooseneck set up. I know in my pick up the gooseneck makes a big difference in ride quality over a "bumper pull", but my short wheelbase single axle dump hauls my 20 ton tag just fine, so I figured a toter should haul half that just fine. I wouldn't mind

I agree. Great show! Most tractors I've seen at an ESP pull other than Langford in awhile. Great weather, great pull. And no 2wd! No offense, but not a fan. I'm there for the tractor classes. We usually just use the 2wd class as a chance to grab food and use the bathroom. I was very impressed with Justin's tractor. Looking forward to seeing it in 2 weeks.

Toter - 7 years ago
Wondering what you guys with, or that have had toter homes, prefer when it comes to trailer styles. With that much of a hauler, do you notice a big difference in how settled it is between a tag type or a gooseneck trailer? I'm not sure I want to give up living space for a flat area to put the hitch. Opinions? Anyone that's run both care to weigh in? Thanks.

I didn't hear rev limiter popping off the line really, but I do remember both tractors having a fat burble off the bottom and then cleaning up in the first 50 feet. I think they have those tractors set to kill and I wouldn't doubt if they're a little fat on the bottom. Those tractors both run hard. I'd say they push a ton of air through, so plenty of fuel needed to keep them t

Oh, I have no problem with the diesels running the 3.6 charger. I was told that Larry Wright tried one out last year, Canada maybe, and the thing was vicious. If WNY allowed it, it might convince me to build a real smoker.

David, where have you seen that S.C.W.T.P. allows 3.6 chargers on 470 diesels? I know B.O.B. allow them. WNY uses S.C.W.T.P. rules and I haven't seen the 3.6 in there yet. I'd like to see it in there. I'm just wondering if I missed it.

My association doesn't allow trailer break away switches as safety kill switches. Check with your association before you use one. I have to use the second one shown.

The only part that sucks is that you have to choose between Hamburg and BG. It would be nice if we could watch our local pull during the week and then cruise out to see the championships.

The problem lies with the fair. As a pulling enthusiast, and this year a puller, I have asked this question myself. A good friend is in charge of the entertainment contracts for the fair. The fair refuses to book the pull earlier due to the fact that the pull is on the infield of the racetrack in front of the grandstand, and the music concerts are also at the grandstand. They will not schedule t

I agree with the OP. It is annoying. List a price and you won't have 100 people that can't afford it calling you. Then you have people listing tractors on here that don't return your calls or texts when you leave them messages asking for a price and unweighted weight of your tractor. Must not want to sell that badly I guess.

If he's got to buy wheels anyway, why not buy rims with the proper back spacing? Why would you swap axles if you're buying new rims that you can have set up to your current set up?

Well said Jake. I thought that's what this forum was about...asking questions. Mark pulls in my area, and is my favorite Mod tractor. I'm very curious to see what he comes up with next. I remember when he ran the big intake boxes and the thing looked mean like that, but obviously the individual filters flowed better. Looking forward to his next creation. I am a fan, and by next season,
