Re: Tom Hartsell, Kenny Mack, or Doc Riley? - 15 years ago
I enjoy hearing Tom announce. He would be a great addition. I've not been to Tomah in a few years, but if Ken Mack still announces, I thought he was extremely knowledgable. I would have to say I enjoy Butch. He has become the "voice" of tractor pulling over the years. PS- I remember a guy named Doc Riley announcing NTPA pulls back in the early 90's. Re: Turn Me Loose (PS) at NFMS - 15 years ago
well, as a red blooded American, I'd say here we have a red and green PS show, with only 3 other PS tractors that are actually competitive (Domanns, Cope, and Karl Kaun); there are a few non JD/IH tractors such as Aces and 8s, or Fools Gold, but I've not seem them actually run within a few feet of the top ones, at least not at Bowling Green. In Europe, not only do you have JD and IH,by The Original Michael - Forum
What's up with sled setting @ NFMS mod finals? - 15 years ago
If I read results right, a double pull off? And, all 6 tractors made full pulls in the first go-round? Who was in charge of that track? With $$$$ in expensive engines, making guys run 3 times doesn't seem like a good way to run a pull. Can anyone who was actually there tell us what went on?by The Original Michael - Forum
Re: Bill Vories?? - 15 years ago
My understanding is the 4 motors he runs with are NTPA legal (for Louisville, he may up the blower overdrive. No reason for him no to). I believe the 5th motor for the unlimited has a 14-71, but the other 4 have 8-71s. Someone may be able to verify this.by The Original Michael - Forum
Dear Louisville committee - 15 years ago
So, at least one or some of you think LSS tractors "can't get down the track"? eh? I suggest taking a page from Murfreesboro and running a 6500 LSS alky class (sorry.... while I enjoy the diesel/alky rivalry in theory, in practice I don't get off on watching the alkies put 40 feet on the smokers). You normally have 15 per class, correct? Here is a list of more than that of good runby The Original Michael - Forum
Razzle Dazzle @ Gordyville: What really happened? - 15 years ago
I saw Razzle Dazzle in the pits on Friday, but when his class came, the announcer said something about a cubic inch issue. Anyone know what exactly went down?by The Original Michael - Forum
