Outlaws have a DSS event in Texas that weekend. That might draw some guys as well. I think there was some excitement for that event.

Re: D2 - 4 years ago
This was kind of why I asked if D2 was green or red. Huge props to the D2 team for being dominant with a red block. Lot of respect for people who go against the grain and make it work. Cut me open, and I bleed green, but I love competition and D2 is good for that class and good for the sport.
That said, I'll be at Hutchinson cheering for Oldens/Raymond/Roger Peterson to jump up and take the

Anybody know if he's planning on running the Nationals all year? The way he performed last year and the win to kick off this year, I have to think he's the favorite to win the points.

D2 - 4 years ago
Congrats to Darrin Hunt and the D2 team. They have been on a tear when they show up to the National Events.
Does anybody know if they plan on running the full schedule of Nationals this year? Also, is that a red or green block? I'm assuming Ted, but there's a lot of crossover both ways. Just curious if anybody knows.

How many young guys have a disposable income? This is the main thing. I know a lot of younger people who like pulling, but everything is expensive these days. Houses, vehicles, tools, insurances, taxes, technology, ect. Often times that makes it difficult for a young guy to build a competitive rig.

was told once adeere made a 414 was factory replacement for 4020 and had to reinforce frame block wasn't strong enough any truth to this
John Deere never made a 414 that I know of. I've seen plenty of 466's dropped in 4020's. I've never heard of a problem.

Because it is offered as a replacement engine for the 531 by John Deere
Somebody else might have more knowledge of this, but the 619 and the 531 are both big blocks, from what I've been told it's not really difficult to get a 531 to 680 cubes. So even if they did outlaw actual 619's guys could just use the 531.
What I don't understand is why you can mismatch t

This is kind of a cool idea I never thought about, just say Super Stock Diesel, first NTPA hook of the year:
Red Horse -700
Triple Bypass - 500
Bone Twister - 110
Lock N Load +200
Super Rooster + 350
Redline Fever +550
Smoke N Mirrors +850
Digging Fever +1100
Kryptonite +1250
Who would everybody bet on?

So as an outsider who isn't into organized pulling, wouldn't it make more sense to go to the 4.1 class instead of the Super Farm class? Seems like cost would be fairly equal? Is maintenance more on a 4.1? What is the advantages of SF over 4.1?

I'll just say this, it's Motorsports. Every motorsport I have been a part of, can be expensive. You can put rules in place, but there is always going to be somebody with money there to research and develop better parts that fit those rules. You can't legislate spending. A fat check book doesn't always make them a winner, but it sure helps their chances. If you restrict turbos,

Agreed. Why limit the open class? You want limits, there are classes for that.

Not sure exactly why, but those big block Deere's run that class. I was watching PPL from 2017 and they had like 21 or 24 pro stocks there, and no matter the tin, all but 1 was a Deere motor and I think most were the big block. Pretty sure Moss ran a small block Deere but most are big blocks.

Lim Pro and Super Farm would basically be the only class with diversity.
Pro Stock is run by Deere and SSD is run by red. Just the way it is.
I get what you are saying, but forcing these guys to switch might make it more boring.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm getting closer, it just doesn't seem to breathe right. I think with manifolds and head work it should wake up! What crossover pipe did you end up using?

Ok thanks for the info.
I should be able to get enough fuel, bigger lines, injectors, and 450 head in the pump. Pump isn't opened all the way. 3LM for a turbo. Stock internals and manifolds.

We have a Deere with a 404, cube rules so we can't go any bigger.
Does anyone know if an 8.1 head will fit right on a 404? Any advice on improving flow if an 8.1 head doesn't fit?

The big NTPA classes might suffer, but that's because of cost. I don't buy that the younger generation doesn't care about pulling or old tractors. I was just at a pull where half the class in the 11,500 & 12,500 classes were under the age of 25. There are a lot of guys who are under 40 getting into the sport. Just not sure how many will have the budget to go much higher than a hot

Interesting topic all of the people hiding behind their fake screen names.
I pull in SuperFarm and do because its one of the few classes in the country with
similar rules from coast to coast. Kinda makes it easier to go pull ANYWHERE.
Making more classes with different rules to fit a few is silly.
If they modeled Badger State HotFarm that is a nice class.
