To the original point, wedge vs tube...this is how I deal with it. Which do you like? I think that's the best too. My real opinion, for an AG chassis situation there is no real difference other than weight possibly. If someone tells you otherwise they are selling you! And I know where this is headed, in Mods Twds and Components, both are great, but more importantly if a Puller believes one i

I like same Engine same Tractor brand myself, but as a Puller that likes to follow the national Circuits to compete you need a powerplant that will make good power but is also reliable, you cant win a championship by missing hooks cause the Engine is broke, been there done that! Rob is a great Puller and He knows to win that Championship you have to make every call to Hook, therefore the choice w

Always remember, the Vehicle is the Member covered by any Organizations insurance, not so much the driver. I see folks jump on Pro Stocks and others and occasionally drive whom I'm not familiar with. A per hook or adding their name as a driver would cover the deal.

This is a Great Idea. Good way to possibly grow the sport. Some individuals will be a One and done, just to be able to say they have done it. Others will be hooked. There is a very prominent TWD team kicking this idea around very seriously as well. This could also bring many un-forseen additions as well. It could bring Sponsors, say for instance someone such as Matt Cain, who owns a prominent bus

The Promoter of the Event is more to blame than an Organization for Track issues etc. Both organizations do a good job running the events, I find things I prefer about each. This 8th grade opinion comparing over and over is OLD!

3 years ago, we combined the Memorial Pull with the PPL Southern nationals, since the Robertson County Fairboard did'nt really want to keep Promoting the Event, so different Org and some classes different, same Group of Folks running it.

This a reply to Doc from the previous column. So why did Lucas Oil Purchase or create or whatever the correct terminology is the PPL? A multi Billion dollar corp had interest in Pulling! As does others, if there is marketing value through that TV series and Magazine. Not to say sell NTPA or anything of that nature, but yes there are other huge corporations out there with interest. But they play i

If someone, a Professional brought in major Sponsors and opened doors just any person could not, what's the value of that individual? So small minds think cause he/she wants say $150,000 salary plus 5% of anything landed that's too expensive...but potentially walked away from multimillion dollar deals. I'm a believer in hiring Professionals and expecting/letting them do their job,

#1---Hire a Marketing Firm or Persons to full time secure sponsorships.
#2--Try to land a major sports network TV deal.

Oh it highly matters where it came from, why was such even being..."Researched" and developed? and was it really an accident, this has cost the whole World a terrible price and many many folks their life. I know for a fact the numbers are not accurate, many of the deaths being reported were not only due to corona so what is the real ratio? Truths we may never know!

The scary things about all this to me, it seems like this could be a gateway for Government officials and Departments to say we have to have more control over the population, you know for the good of everyone! What are the next steps? Drones disable or detain your kid at the mall because they have a fever from some sickness not Chinese Flu? We must not let them have this much control! That's

Half full stands can mean disaster for promoters and really cause some Events to cease to exist. many unknowns, personally I feel some of the early ones to open will have a flood of attendance, the question is ...Pullers how many can afford to go now, it has impacted our Team and plans for sure. Lots of unknowns here but I believe in what we do, open the gates they will come!

Doc,
I don't have documented information on either, but I've been to most all of them. BG is the Big standout, and no offense but that's more to do with the club running it than the Organization they pick. Hillsboro crowd on Saturday night is no different than Tomahs Saturday night, Henry Illinois crowd is larger than most any one day event I know of, as well as Evansville I

Doc, I don't understand your comment PPL has less Pullers to take care of, and their attendance is much less. PPL has many State organizations now under their Banner and many many Pullers that don't only run the Champions Tour.

Dick, #1... is Pulls and Pulling Organizations are run like a Boy scout troop. No one pushes anything, shows start late, no one has trained or put boot to butt on track crews, etc, etc, so you get a show dragging on with 5-8 minutes between runs, its agonizing and frustrating! And everyone before you go bashing, I am one of 6 guys on a board that Promotes a Pull, the PPL Southern Nationals in Spr

IMO as someone who chasses points Championships on the National Tours, I feel absolutely no the competitors should not weigh in on the Decision. The sled Operator and Track official should be the only ones involved! Its hard to run a National circuit, and in one decision to have your whole season taken away because of what happened on someones first run is wrong. We have to have our vehicles read

Dick,
Exactly, you get out of something what you put into it! Build a cheap little crappy venue and pay a base purse for 12 years in a row, with a crappy track and not be very nice to the Guys who are opening up their wallets to give you a show, don't be surprised when the turnout of Pullers is Low. I would likely go to Hillsboro even if I wasn't on the Champions Tour, its that

Lewis I was VP of MSPA for 2 years, and we raised a great deal of sponsor money, and 95% or better went to the Points fund and was paid out to Pullers for competing in the series. So the sticker you put on earned you money if you ran the series, in the bigger series there is much more overhead and its not that simple, but I wouldn't be surprised if 50% or more goes back to competitors.
