For those claiming if you're not in the top 15, you're not going to be in the running for a title anyway so don't worry about not being invited... let's unpack that.
First, while CH is in the latter part of July, it's actually early in the NTPA GN points chase. For example, while not contested at CH, the TWD class will not have a points hook until Ft Recovery due to ra

How about this: Mid Season non-points event for the top in GN points for all 13 classes. Would be 65 or 78 hooks ona single track. Should be do-able.

Bowling Green doesn’t intentionally send both tracks at the same time. They are ran independently of each other and sometimes the timing syncs up. The goal is to run them through quick and efficiently because of the number of competitors.
They need one person in charge in the headsets advising which track to run. Jake has suggested a system where the sled doesn't light gre

For a SN pull there sure seems to be a few things that are very basic. Never, ever run two mod classes at the same time, same with SS tractors. In fact try not to run to hooded tractors at the same time, yes I know that some times thats unavoidable, how with so many national classes its not impossible. And never run a non-national class on the last session of the event. These are

Everyone at Tomah, that is expected to deploy the tarps are volunteers.
MLB has paid staff to handle the tarps that far ahead.
B.G. would be the same. I'm sure both places could get a decent number after work, but when do you put them out??
The 2" of rain forecast would have been perfect for the track.
Neither Tomah or BG are charging MLB prices for tickets and conc

One thing I found kinda silly is why pull super farm and 4.1 limited pro at the same time as well as light mods and unlimiteds on like Friday night session, most two track shows run a smoker ( tractor/semi ) class on one track side and a noise class ( trucks/mods ) on the other track side to keep the crowds interest and have a very visible difference from one track to another just ki

If we criticize for a bad showing, it's proper to give praise for a good show. Congratulations to all involved for a much better show tonight. This should make for a much better ESPN2 episode.

How many unlimited need to go down the track before you decide to change the sled? Richardson went 291 early in the class. It was a good run but I don't think anybody thought that was going to be the winning pass. I sure thought the track would improve after a few tractors went down the track, but that was not the case. After 3 or 4 tractors were down the track it was pretty

NTPA royally screwed this up. This is the correct answer. Why you ask?
NTPA announced on their Facebook, and I assume on the Full Pull coverage, that the Unlimited classes at Tomah were being filmed for ESPN2. That's a huge deal for NTPA.
Knowing this opportunity, some combination of names felt this was putting NTPA's best foot forward for a potential audience MUCH larger than cou

I remember reading the Copenhagen Skoal payouts in a 1990 Puller Mag. Cannot recall most of the amounts, but one figure that does come to mind is the Unlimited champion (Gardner Stone, I think) got $20,000.
Too bad that sponsorship went away. What is $20,000 in today's money?

Last weekend, the Fremont, MI RN pull had 5 sanctioned classes with a combined 23 entries.
Meanwhile, one complaint in the short track racing world is the bad habit (I would say death spiral) of promoters fighting dwindling car counts by adding classes. Instead of running 3 or 4 classes with enough vehicles for 3-4 heats, B Main and Feature, some tracks have as many as 10 divisions or more, bu

Probably. Even if the light mod and triple stayed home, the other twin would be very competitive in the 7500 GN mod class, if it still pulls. Is that one called Green Monster?

NHRA does it right. Here is their Event Registration site viewable by anyone. NHRA event entry.
Find where it says "Event Entry Statistics." Click on it, then a drop down will appear. Find the race you want, click, and the list is shown in real time. Races appear about 2 or so months out, so Brainerd, MN is the last race now but the US Nationals will appear in a couple weeks.

It's understandable why a 680 ci JD engine would have a possuble advantage in the Pro Stock class.
Why has the JD engine been less competitive overall with the 540 ci DSS class? Are IH blocks just better with the torque of multi-chargers, or is there another reason?

Are single hooks ok, or should all events be at least 2 hooks per class? What about mid week GN/CT events, or should all of these be on weekends?
In other words, if you were in charge, how would you structure a GN/CT schedule?

What are examples of rare tractors? For example, my understanding is only 3 Cockshutt 580s were made, and only 1 exists.
Also, lots of D-21s were made, and many still pull.
However, before the iconic hood design we are familiar with was made, there were D-21 prototypes based on the D-17 and D-19 model. I'm not sure if any of these prototype D-21s exist.
What other rare tractors do yo

I know you could get a narrow front on a 66 series IH, same on a 30 series Deere. Past that I’m not sure.
Don’t think a 6030 ever came with a narrow front, but I think I can remember at least one pulling that way.
I know John Bockwitz and Joel Armistead ran narrow fronts on their 6030s, and I believe Paul Frederich did also.
Most of the super stock G-1000s had narrow front e
