I know exactly what that explosion sounds like. We have blown up 2 of them exact same hats this week on a Allison.

I'd Continue adding on to our current tractor. Step the Allison we have up to the 9.6 supercharger and put 2 557 Miner Bros with screw chargers transverse behind it. If everything goes to plan this will happen in the future. I built the tractor to allow us to climb up the ranks without changing chassis'

That was the hardest part of naming our tractor. Spent over a year trying to come up with a name that wasn't taken. Finally ended up with the "Time Maker". And I'll guarantee you one thing. It has not lived up to its name of making time lol.

I just built a single engine Allison tractor. Econo mod isn't the term to use on them lol. Doesn't take long to get over 100 grand invested in one.

Former Down and dirty tractor got sold to Muffy and then went to Texas. Terry is revamping the chassis they built for Boyd's in the 2019 season that only ran half the season.
We have a new single Allison modified we're going to run around northern Illinois, was planning on having it at the Outlaw pull in Dubuque bit there's no way it'll be finished in time.

I hope the PPL or NTPA Intoduces a Actual light modified class someday. Single Hemi, 2 Chevy's, single turbine, or 2 small ones, and one Allison 8.1 Supercharger on Fuel injected or 9.6 Carbureted. Like the ITPA and Outlaws have. Main reason is I have a Allison that will fit in nicely lol.

Because it's still basically new oil, just a little alcohol in it. It looks like brand new oil when I dump it out of the turkey fryer. Using your theory I would have put New oil in it 5 times out of 7 passes this year. Had fueling issues that we finally got under control.

Corn7820 must have never bought high performance oil before. Costs $350-$400 to change the oil in our Allison tractor.

I just talked to Don at Hilborn. We don't have enough spring pressure in the fuel distribution valve. He said I need to be around 18-20lbs. Does that sound Correct.

The nozzles are clean, it spits fuel out at all times. The check valves are free and they open at 4 lbs pressure. The compression on that cylinder is about 120 psi. The leanest cylinder is around 95 psi.

Got a 1710 Allison that will not burn a plug. It has spark, but I put 2 runs on the engine and when I pulled the plug it looks like I just took it out off the box. There's also 3 more cylinders that are rich and blowing fuel out the pipes but the plugs show a sign of heat. Has FIE Super mag 3 mags on it and Mallory Transformers. Should I take the valve cover off and make sure it's not h

It's a Sketchy 4 speed auxiliary truck transmission in it now. I would say most of the tracks are pretty consistently clay. The tractor Just showed up here a week ago so this is going to be our first go around tractor pulling.

I'm Going to be swapping a Allison engine over to a new chassis next winter and was wondering if I need a Transmission for it or if I could get by with a Reverser. If I need a transmission I'll go with a SCS. What model of transmission would be best for my application? Also where can I find stainless steel headers for this thing? It has Aluminized pipe on it now.

In the same boat as you. Just bought a Modified tractor and was planning on putting the engine on a new chassis this summer. With this virus going around and the uncertain future I decided to hold out on the new chassis, and run it a couple passes this summer to get familiar with the Allison engine then tear it down next winter and start over from the ground up. I'd hold up for the time bei
