My son Jake is the sole owner of pulloff.com, he started the page, pays for the page, does all of the maintenance of the page. and has final say on all things pertaining to the page. I, like several others act only as a moderator of the site.

That's one of I really enjoy about the page, the different opinions on the same topic. I certainly respect your opinion and I try to view it from the other view. Thank you for posting, you always have a good take on pulling.

Naturally every organization has rules, however I'm not aware of any other organization that also has censorship as a rule.

Austin, you are talking about 2 different things. Under the heading: INTERNET BASHING, Pull suspension of one year, to life ban. This for any MEMBER, or anyone associated with member. The foul language threats etc. are in the next heading.

I couldn't care less who posted it, it's their rules on their FB page. This is not about some lady or vular language, it's about the rule that penalizes anyone who post anything negative about the organization. You can try and change the narrative, but you haven't changed the rule. And yes, I agree we will delete anything that takes the Lords name in vane or vulgar language

I just looked at BOB FB page and to say that I was amazed and disappointed to see their approach to their members posting on any social media platforms was shocking. To say that the leadership is thin skinned is a huge understatement. If you can't stand the idea that your pullers don't agree with your every decision then maybe leadership is not your calling. You never see any national o

I have talked with different people that have worked for the NTPA, some in the late 90s and there was always an on going conversation about how to bring more entertainment to the shows. I don't think it was from a lack of trying, rather facing some challenges such as, diminishing rural population, youth that has lost interest in Motorsports, the short time that the vehicle is on the track vi

It's a "Limited" Light Super Stock class. The word Limited means it's not the LSS class. That's the problem with this class, everyone wants to open up the rules. Pulling never learns from history. When the class keeps opening up the rules, two things will happen, more money, less pullers.

I decided to get out my old crystal ball and try to take a look at pulling in 2 years, 3 years or even 5 years. First let's look at pulling in 2 years, will the NTPA combine the DSS and OSS classes, I realize that the NTPA is always reluctant to combine classes however the numbers almost demand that. Not sure how the pullers in either class feel about it. The semi class will become an invita

I certainly don't understand all the details, however from a 50 mile high view it looks like a good thing for the pullers and the NTPA. Anything that puts more money into the points fund and the operating expenses of the organizations is a very good thing
I won't pretend to fully understand the pullers buying into the program, however the pullers can buy in or not.

Badgerfan, I think you are completely missing the point. Your statement says that all that chrome and expensive works doesn't add any HP, yet you mention El Nino and Bootlegger. You have already proved the point that apparently it does matter. Once again for the 50th time the sport is entrainment. Fans not only see the vehicles on the track but also in the pits. You watch the fans in any p

I never ever said that I don't value the pullers that build some, most, all of their vehicles. I really respect that approach to the sport. But in all honesty how much can a puller really build themselves,, chassis, engines, tin work, fuel systems, there are so many parts that the pullers have built for them. The part of the thread that I was responding to was those that are complaining abo

I couldn't care less if the puller built his/her tractor. A lot of these people have jobs, business that don't allow the time that it takes. How many formula 1 drivers or NHRA or NASCAR drivers build their vehicles, none. I'm just thankful that they bring their vehicles to the track. People lose sight of the fact that pulling, like any motorsport is about entertaining the paying p

I don't believe that I ever said pullers need to move into the 5.0 PS class. I think over time the 5.0 class will grow from big PS moving and 4.1 class also moving into the class. I have other thoughts about the PS that I will post later.

I couldn't agree more, the PS class appears to have sufficient numbers now. I want leadership to sets rules that keep it healthy. Backing down on turbo size will in no way change what the fans are seeing from the stands. Unfortunately there are a few pullers in the class that cost is no problem, however there are some that don't have the resources to keep playing the HP game. Without

The third part of my NFMS observations was that this sport sorely lacks leadership. I realize that’s been my constant complaint for years. However with new new administration the country is seeing rapid and decisive actions. Whether you agree or not, one has to admit that the country has never seen anything like this. I’m hoping that under the leadership of the new WPI president, Ned Walliser and

Jake and I want to offer our condolences to the Lustik family for the loss of Rich. The Silver Bullet team was such a huge part of the pulling community. Team Lustik always brought professionalism to the sport in general and the Super Stock class in particular. Single charger classes are the future of the sport. There is no growth in the multi charger classes. As soon as 4.1 goes component it will kill the class, everyone will then go 5.0. No national organization would survive without single tractors.

The NFMS a few years ago decided to combine the DSS and the 650 alcohol SS into one class. What was a great idea at the time has become the graveyard of the DSS class. What a disappointment to watch the DSS not make the call. It used to be that 40% of the DSS couldn't make the second session of a 2 day event, now at this event 50% couldn't make the first session. The cold weather I wou

I'm not sure why there is any negative comments about this event. Apparently they don't seem to have any problems getting pullers to sign up. And entry fee's support a vast number of events. I guess if the Simon's are willing to sponsor the show and the pullers and signing up that should dispel and issues with the event. The sport needs this kind of " thinking outside the box

This pull is one of the best ideas that pulling has seen in many years. Trucks, mini's, hooded tractors. 260 vehicles in total, just amazing. The pressure to win $50k on the Saturday night session will be intense. They are well prepared for any inclement weather. This is one more event that pullers and fans will talk about before and after the show.

The post was ALL about the visual aspect of the vehicles going DOWN the track. It's all about what the fans see sitting in the stands. The post was never about what's under the sheet metal.
