I would have had Unfinished Business at both Freedom and Alexander but the engine gearbox broke at Langford. I'm sitting home waiting on parts as the season slips away. Thats not fun either. The parts suppliers which always seem to be behind are really behind toward the end of a season of pulling carnage. I really like pulling with ESP when my Ohio schedule permits. Thanks Dick for your kind words about my tractor Unfinished Business. It was great to get to meet you at Langford. I really like your site and check it multiple times per week schedule permitting. Bud (my crew/crew chief) and I had a awesome time at Langford. We had never been to this pull before. We followed Roy Metz from the Embro Canada pull to Langford and got to the track about 4:00 AM. I’m giving a big shout out thank you to the Empire State Pullers, Danny Beal and fans. I twisted the end out of a drive shaft section on my hauler this past Saturday on our way to the Western New York Steam Grounds Pull. We were about 15 miles from the pull when this happened. Fresh John Deere long block engine. Girdle to valve cover including front block saver plate and front cover. 4.625 bore with stock 9.1 liter crank. Hyper pistons and sleeves. Deck plate and ported head. Cunningham rods, roller camshaft and roller rockers with rockershaft hold downs. What needs to be changed to convert a good running superfarm 640 to a limited pro 640 - 4.1 besides turbo, manifolds and pump work for more fuel? Cam? Gearing? Head work? Larger injectors and lines? Pump timing? Thanks for your input!
