Fair point, but it's still prestige to win at the biggest pull of them all.
Interesting times with the two organizations right now for sure.

There's another pull somewhere this weekend?? Who knew!!? I think I remember some of those names, they used to pull in BG, but some of them have turned into Golden Boys with those (sorta green) sponsored tractors. Too bad.
Don't know what happened to them other guys you mentioned? (joking !!)

Should still catch close to that weight with a 404 single charger. Depends on how much you strip it, two vs. three bar cage, and how much aluminum you are prepared to use, and what tire/wheel combo. What you see in my picture is about 5300-5400 empty with a similar engine set-up to what you mention, but it is possible to get lighter than that yet if you set your mind to it.
Good question on t

You can get a 4010 down around 5500, depending on what equipment, class, and set-up you are running.

Depends what class you're talking about. The same can be said for IH 466 based tractors. Smaller cubic inch limits would change that for some classes. Take a look at any Pro or Super class in Europe, they have color because they keep the cubes reasonable. That's part of what's driving this whole problem. Look at what 505 does for color in the LSS class, and it is ANYTHING but REI S

Yes, that's where it is right now, but I am sure it's just a matter of time until there's no rule on blocks/heads etc. Like it's been said on here before, bring on the generic block and head, and let everyone tune to the best of their abilities for the CI being run in their class. It'll be just like NASCAR. Can't wait for those 'restrictor slug' pulls !!

Jake, did you catch the part about OSTPA allowing any sheetmetal on components in the future? I didn't like when NTPA did it, and if this comes true, how long until everyone is doing it?
................ohh boy, let's all go to the "agricultural/industrial/marine/automotive based vehicle pull" !! I can't wait!!

No doubt Esdon will find his way to first place, just how long.
As for a Deere making it into the class as a competitive diesel, it has to be just a matter of time.
Hey Jake, what is Seifert's cubic inch anyway?

How do you tell he is making equal horsepower to the alky boys? Not saying he isn't doing well, that just seems like a fairly broad statement.

Been going for the last 15, and there are kids who pick the cans under the bleachers up after every session. There is also a group that goes through the camp ground on Monday morning after as well. Not sure if they are scouts or what.
I would hope BG never changes on the way this is handled, cause it works great!

You are not the only one!! I don't particularly care for the akward looking appearance, looks like you sit on the ground and in about the middle of the tractor. Doesn't look very well proportioned. Just my opinion though. I'm sure it runs great and there will be many that follow it.

Sorry, I could really care less what you think. I find you're constant attempts humorous though.
I have never said that components were a stupid idea, I just know from the research I did that it wasn't cheaper for the class I run. Would likely go for it next time around if the budget is there.

You couldn't have said it any better "I WANNA BE A PULLING SUPERSTAR"!!!!! Have you ever listened to the crowd when the announcer winds them up with the 'insert your color here' vs 'insert another color here' rhetoric ?? Tell me there is no brand loyalty out there and that nobody cares what is under the hood when that starts. They seriously under-estimate most fans brand

303 gas engine.........you mean the one that looks anything but like a Deere engine?? Was found in a combine previous to the 105 (maybe 55)?? I didn't think anything from that engine would fit anything else Deere made. I might have a use for that old girl after all.......

Yeah, we left at the same time alright. Too bad, I wanted to see the 8500 Mod Turbo class as well.
Thanks for the compliments on the tractor, we were genuine underdogs at this pull. Just out to have some fun, and that we definitely had. Met alot of great people. That 7700 class is pretty competitive. We are giving up about 70 or so cubes and more than 0.5 inch on the charger. That was a better

Totally agree with you Jake. This is an awesome event that is run by a very organized comittee. My hat`s off to the Forrester`s, Destinee (a no fear driver!!), JR and the rest of the crew, things ran seamless. This was the first time I have been at an indoor event for watching as well as pulling. I had been to the PA Farm Show in January and scouted the buildings. This is a great facility, and I

I see the Pennsylvania Ford guys did it again. First place in 8500 Light Pro Stock. This is the sort of thing that will make the Light Pro class in NTPA so interesting & entertaining to watch.
Too bad Matt lost weight and was DQ'd.

It is quite refreshing to see someone who has put that much effort into something have it perform so well. I have watched this tractor at BG and see it continue to get stronger every year. Having a different color (of red) finish high in the class is nice. It has an awesome sound as well!!
