Why do you say the light pro's will pull first? I would think you shouldn't have booked a class that has been established for several years at a different location, on the same night.

Definitely, and yes it would benefit all colors equally!

Might want to check the schedule, the light pro's have a few Pro National hooks still. 4 to be exact.

Might want to reread the rule, it say's nothing about an OEM head, instead it's an OEM-TYPE, the important part of the sentence is the hyphen (-).
I didn't write the rule, just informing you of it's intent. Basically any head, other than a steel or aluminum, is legal and has been so since the class
inception.

The 8.1 has a stock straight tooth design, but you have to use the 8.1 cam gear. The tooth pitch is different on after market gears. They also vary from supplier. Ex GMS and REI can't be mixed.

Thank you Franklin Equipment for continuing the program! It's one of the few, that is all reward, without having to do anything in return.
Thanks to the Yantes pulling team for putting this together and sharing it with the pullers. It is appreciated!

Just because someone from region 2 didn't attend your events doesn't prove non " willingness to travel". Sorry you feel that way, but maybe with all the events, that class has in it's own region, the puller's have enough "willingness to travel" supporting the events they chose to attend.

You can put a 4.750" piston in a JD block without even boring it out, just ask a reputable sleeve supplier. You're gonna spend way more doing it with I-H sleeves.

You can do either, put a brass wear plate in the timing cover to hold it, or have the block drilled and tapped like the older 466. GMS has the adjustable gears, but will need an after market cover to use them.

So how's combining the two going to increase numbers? What you are missing is both classes sell themselves, promoters keep booking them as they are. The cost of having a top level Super keeps most away from either class. Take Chizik's and Well's money out and what do you have left in the open class. Again you want a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.

It's amazing to me, how bench pullers have answers to problems that don't exist. If those two classes needed combined the NTPA would have done so. Leave things alone, if you want a combination class, there are plenty of other organization's that already do that.

No, some call them the constant mesh gears. It's the one on the top shaft driving the countershaft. The teeth will crack down in the root.

Good to around 2200, then you will have to keep a close check on drive gears.

Get hats, rotors, brackets, and calipers from Tim Engler. You can decide if you want aluminum or steel hats. Master cylinders and pedals can be gotten at any speed shop. I have 1" diameter, but some like the feel of 3/4". Buy the longest pedal you can get. All the internal parts will be removed (internal rotor, backing plate, 3 brake pucks). Make sure when you mount your master cylinders they are
