The weight factor is whatever the class is. Example the SS class is 8000#, that would be the weight all competitors would weigh regardless of their vehicle
type. In your example the weight would be 7200#, no extra weight given to anyone. This is how it works in the NTPA.

an 8.1 is not the legal replacement on a 4010 unless you do a sheet metal upgrade. Before the bashing starts about it bolting up, I'm just giving the NTPA 's rule, not mine.

Yes it makes 505. May have to open up the counter bore in the block for the top of the sleeve, don't know if you are going to use a stock head gasket, wire rings or c-rings to hold the compression in, that determines the counter bore diameter of the sleeve. As far as set up goes it depends on what you are building.

Dimensionally, the blocks are the same, like said before, the bolt pattern to mount to frame a little different on front mounts, the rear same place just bigger bolts. The blocks are a little heavier in weight, but most of that in in the area of the motor mounts. Have used both types and have broken both, don't feel there is any durability advantage to the industrial over the ag.

I bought an inexpensive plastic tool box, lined it with foam put my components inside, mounted under roll cage. Works great, stays dry and dust free while protected from getting beat around.

Of cousre it is the OEM JD valve cover that returns you the most Hp per dollar spent!
I installed one and instantly got the result I was after when I purchased it.

You put a tee in your suppy line before in goes into the pump, then use a ball valve on the tee and you have your sample.
You can also run a small line from your tank with a ball valve and do the same, either way it will gravity flow so you can get a sample.

No. You are correct about it being solid from engine back. The only flex you will get is from the engine forward.

Too bad the NTPA doesn't allow it in a tractor frame. It would give AC people an option for those d-21's.

I also have a RPM system and it's great, never failed to record a run in 6 years of use. Also have yet to have any of the sensors fail. Good to work with. Call 405-495-0454 and ask for Randy.

Yes Roberts bought both of the Mears diesel tractors, he then got the alcohol tractor which was a partial component and had to update it to a full component. The Ryan's toy went to Hunts. He also bought Slowride from Blackburn.

The rule says nothing about engine running or not! There is nothing about it being in the return line either! Just buy an inexpensive brass valve run a line from your tanks and there you go. By the way, don't know why we have them in the light pro, 6 events and not one sample checked yet!

It wouldn't be too smart to put it on your supply side anyway! Put it in the return side and an inexpensive brass valve will work, or better yet just run a line from your tank to the valve, mount it close to the pump, then there are no pressure issue's or air issue's.

What kind of pistons are you using? Stock, forged, billet? If stock then stay below 1300 and you should be ok, billets 1800 - 1900.
