I would guess between 10-13. A lot of farming going on in ohio right now.

In the manifold under the turbo. If you have a qood quality probe you aren't going to melt it, if you do that will be the least of your problems.

It is a 12v hydraulic pump. They are in the hydraulic section, page 533 in the spring 2011 book, 1.4 gpm,1600 psi, 3 quart reservoir, item #1070-2106, $279.99. There are others, but this is the least expensive.

There are NO $500.00 top of the line pro stock turbo's! The range is $10000-$15000 for the best.

The kevlar is both, lighter and thinner. Some of the ballistic blankets will vary in thickness and wieght from the different makers.

C-Rings are a lot more durable and reuseable than the wire rings. They also cost about $100.00 per cylinder. There is an inner ring and the outter ring. some guys don't use the outter ring, they just groove the sleeve like fire rings.

At around 150# you will start having fire ring failure and need to change to C-Rings.

The difference is, it is in the rules to allow the use of an engine block girdle, not for a pump.

There isn't a turbo limit in the NTPA Light Pro class. The class sumitted an agenda item to limit the exhaust side to a "G" trim, but the full boards didn't feel it was needed, and there was opposition to random checking. But we can put on fuel and water valves!

Did you ever see Up & Atom with a block all over the track or how about Renegade Deere? Thats two top running diesels, and I'll add a third, Smokin' Hot Deere. Have they had problems, yes, but not what you are relaying. Anyone with a GN level diesel has block problems, but I have ran one for years with no block issues. Maybe you are thinking of an I-H block, thats where they split and p

The 8.1 JD is a great way to start out. Put 4.750" pistons in it and you will be right at 540 CID. If you are going to keep the boost under 190#, you can use the thin wall sleeves and not have to bore the block for the bigger pistons. Use the older style JD rods at stock lenght, or use the I-H rods which are about .125 shorter. Forget the "P" pump an go directly to a Sigma pump. There are plenty

You can offset grind the rod journals to get a small stroke increase, but to get big, you will weld up the journals then offset grind to get the desired stroke.

The heavy wall exhaust tubing will do just fine. Have ran 225# in a 3-1/2" dia. and never had any issues with the pipe itself.

Where did you find that info? Its not what the puller article said. The last line states " In the future, they just may have to wait a while longer." MAY being the key word !

Use 2 ports to supply fuel to the pump. Use one for return to tank, should have check valve in it. Plug the last hole.

I have used one out of a combine, and one out of an industrial eguipment. both fit fine in my frame rails, which had a 404, then 466. Only difference was old block(466) used 3/4 dia bolts and the 8.1 use's 5/8 dia bolts. The Front mounts of the 8.1 are in a slightly different location, but the back are the same. Not saying there isn't a narrow block, but i haven't run into it yet.

My experience with alge growth has always come from the pump lube not the water, but i have always bought and used distilled water for my water injection. The alge problem always occured when i put higher rates of pump lube in my mix (2 1/2 bottles to 5 gal) now i only put in 1 bottle and don't have that problem. I use napa pump lube in case you are wondering.

This is what I've been saying, define "billet"! How is something machined from a solid chunk of cast, grey or ductile iron any different than one from steel or aluminum. Where does the line start and end for light pros? Stock appearing? then spend extra on the piece of material and machine it to look stock.
