Does a 3LM466 turbo require an orifice (restrictor) on the oil supply?
Thanks

Loudonville, Ohio Street Fair tractor pull is Oct 4 this year. Right now we run what we call Modified Farm Stock at 7700; 10500 and 12000 lbs. We also run a 8 MPH farm stock at 13000 lbs.
That is good news, I hope to bring our Oliver 1950T to Loudonville this year for the 7700 # Modified Farm Stock.

Good point, of course the tank wouldn't be pressurized until the engine was running.

Is it possible or reasonable to pressurize the water tank with turbo boost and then use an electric pump to help push the water? This approach would require a solenoid valve to prevent water injection under low boost conditions.
Thanks

It will work outdoors, but will likely not work n a building.

The line has to be drawn somewhere, why not at the 3LM466 turbo? Is it not durable or dependable?

I understand, I was only pointing out that the rules didn't jive with diesel ban.

The add says no diesels, but the LLSS rules have specific requirements that only apply to diesels.

We pull an 1850 with a 5.9 Cummins with a straight shaft.
We need a gear in between 5th and 6th, what would you recommend, BTW I do not want to loose 5th or 6th gear.
We load onto a deckover trailer, so I need to have a gear for loading.
Thanks

You guys have convinced me that I do not want to go to Bowling Green, drive all that way, pay motel bills, fuel bills, meals and tickets with no refunds and no rain date if the pull is rained out. Sounds similar to playing the lottery.

There you go, adding a Case to the competition would be good.

I would like to see more cooperation across different organizations in terms of rules and schedule dates. In our area, it is not unusual to have three pulls in a 50 mile radius on one weekend and no pulls for the next two weekends.

Tractor pulling is not fair, pick your combination and go pulling.
This is not what we call to hot to farm, in this class cubes are limited to 360.

All tractors are required to run a rotary pump, UNLESS the tractor shipped from the factory with something else.
The obvious engine choices are (IH) DT360, (Oliver, White, Massey) Perkins 354 and (almost any brand) Cummins 5.9, I am not fluent in JD or other brands to know what fits for them.

In western Pa, a few of the clubs have started a Light Tough Farm class, with rules as follows;
1) 7000 and 8000 # classes.
2) Diesel 360 in3, rotary pump, 3LM466 turbo (5.9 Cummins 12 valve allowed), 3000 RPM Limit
3) 18.4 x 38 tire max, no cuts
4) Safety rules, wheely bars, blanket etc.
Are there clubs in the surrounding area that run similar rules?
Thanks
