I wish some kind of universal organization could be done. Within 50 miles or less radius I can encounter at least 7 different organizations. All with their own different rules and wanting their dues to come pull with them. I understand why they need the dues. Mostly insurance. But if they could get together on the insurance thing could we save a bunch of money? And a common setbof rules would al

Local NAPA use to sell Optima. Says after they moved production to Mexico, got bought out, quality went way south. The last several they sold were all returned bad. Replcaed them with NAPA deep cycle units. Before that they say they were real good batteries. Store doesn’t even sell them now. Is it a bunch of BS? He has no reason to lie to me. Gets my money either way.

Speakers aimed toward and loud enough to be heard in the pitts. Always seem to be running to the announcers stand or the posted schedule board, which sometimes is quite aways off, to find out where they are at on the schedule.

65,000 plus miles on my 2012 2500 Ram Diesel. Lots of trailer miles pulling 12,000 plus pounds. Not one single problem. Ya it’s not a 3500 as he asked about. But it’s my 3rd Dodge. Both previous ones I ran 10 years each.

If you decide to go with Mico units be careful about after market units. I found one with same Mico number for about 1/3 price. But seals are for brake fluid as where the exact same number Mico number unit is for oil.

Viton will swell also. Just took some out. They swelled so bad barely able to get the pistons out. Bottom line. There is no such material that is compatible with brake fluid and any petroleum products. Brake manufacturers will tell you that. If you put in orings made for brake fluid the hydraulic oil will make them swell eventually. Your better off buying masters made for oil. Mico has a few mode

One thing I have seen so many times that would help to keep things moving is to have a loud speaker system that can be heard in the pit area. Many a time I and others are running back and forth to the posted pulling list and checking who's on the track as to find out where they are in the pulling order because the announcer can't be heard back at the trailers.

Back in the early 80's I use to accompany a guy that ran modified 4wd pickup. Occasionally we would hit a pull that ran pickups against tractors. And they evened it out by weight. And they had it figured out quite well. Never knew what, tractor or pickup, would win or by how far. Made a very interesting class. And everyone had someone to root for. Haven't heard of or seen one like that

Have an old Ingersol Rand air compressor but don't know what brand engine it is or if any thing on it is of any use to some one. Can't find any tags on the engine. If there is a chance that some one could use some parts from it then I would sell it complete as is. Other wise it's going to the scrap yard.
Thanks
