Looks like some negative comments must have gotten deleted, but I'll add my 2 cents. Had a great experience dealing with Mark, called him about some wheels, he didn't know me from Adam, and he spent 30 minutes asking about my tractor, the tracks we pull on, the sleds we pull, my driving style, before we ever started to talk about products. I bought some wheels, he took mine on consignme

They've settled them down quite a bit since they went to planetary finals. Watch some state level or brush minis that are still running Ford rear ends and they still get pretty squirrelly sometimes.

If they could have made all this power years ago, why didn’t they? If someone could have had 4,000 HP when everybody else had 2,500, don’t you think they would have?
If everybody spends another $50,000 to run something new, the sleds will still stop them, they will be back to equal, but $50,000 lighter in the pocketbook. Just the way it has always been.

Yes, that’s it. I’m not real computer literate but it looked like I could figure it out with a little time. It will do everything we were looking for.

Can’t remember what club in Ohio has one, but our club just purchased a copy of theirs. It looks like a pretty easy to use program. Can’t remember what it cost, but it wasn’t too bad, I think an upfront cost and then an annual renewal. I can ask our secretary, but I’m not going to bother her today, her mother passed yesterday.

Been there done that. 3 times. I figured out a way to put a support bearing on the upper shaft. I put a pillow block bearing on it with a bar that goes across the top of it that wegdes under the lip on the top of the case and has a bolt through the sides of the case to keep it located properly. Where I put mine I had to leave 4th and 5th gears out of it, which didn't affect mine because I do

Okay, so I'm having a brain fart and can't remember how to figure gear ratios. Two sets of gears, first has 39 tooth drive and 54 driven, second set 29 drive and 37 driven. First set drives second set.
What would be the ration through these 2 sets of gears?
Thanks.

Never implied he was doing it for any reason other than to try and make a buck. My point was, if somebody else thinks they can do it and charge less, have at it. If you haven’t ever promoted a pull, and I have, for many years, you have no idea what it costs to put on a pull. With January weather in Illinois, his risk of having a small crowd is higher than a pull in July.
Hope he made enough mone

Was a guy near here that ran a “B” IH rearend flipped over with tall tires like that. Can’t remember his name, but remeber him him flipping it and breaking his leg at the Illinois State Fair pull in the mid 70’s.

It’s tractor pulling in January in Illinois during an ice storm. Wish I could be there, but we’re calving.
Be glad Klint is willing to stick his neck out to put this on. If you think you can do it for less, have at it. I bet you could rent it if you offered more than Klint.

There are a bunch of schools that participate in the Quarter Scale tractors like you saw at NFMS. They have a competition for them every June in Peoria, Il. Very good program, lots more to it than the pulling portion of the competition. My son was on the Illinois team a few years back. He said one of the big similarities to tractor pulling was their team slogan- “Powered by gasoline, designed by

Just wondered what kind of unique trophies different clubs are using for season points winners. Have seen the ones with 2 rods and pistons. Thought I had seen some with what looks like a rear tire and wheel mounted to a plaque, but haven’t found a source for them.
Any other neat ideas appreciated.
