You failed to mention they have a finish line and pull offs over there! The one hit wonder stuff over here has hurt the show quality of the show
I completely agree with this... Floating finishes and one and done passes are absolutely hurting this sport. I love the DSS class but it is embarassing lately, and the worst example of this. Make pullers run multiple passes (pulloffs) and t

That opinion is so incredibly dumb that I shouldn't even comment on it but I think I will just for fun...
I hope you never comment on either politics, sports, religion, etc... until you've been either: President/Senator/Supreme Court Justice/etc..., a Pro Athlete, or Crucified. You can't have ANY opinion until you been there and done that. That's basically what you're

Thanks Sascha, you're exactly right, it's about controlling a variable (Track moisture) as best as you can.
To every nay-sayers out there... watch the video... Watch it twice. That's what professionalism looks like. It's not some hillbilly beat-up tarp on the track... it's professional and quick and controlling a variable. It you want next level, these are the litt

I guess that would be up to each promotor, but I'd rather have the tarp under the sled at the starting line and run a 300-320' track. A 300' track is better than no pull at all.

It's just a simple variable that they could have done a better job monitoring and controlling. This isn't a new discussion and it isn't a new topic for the sport and this also isn't just about Tomah... this is about tarps in general.
Also, side note: I don't play Major League Baseball but I know tarps work there too... and there are times when they cover the field in

Glad Tomah has a tarp. Now they need to learn how to use it. As The Original Michael said, they knew the forecast so they should have used the trap to control the moisture. It's a simple variable that could have been controlled much better They have one major event there a year so planning a week in advance doesn't seem like too much to ask. Again, if we want to talk about "next l

Tarps! - 6 days ago
Can someone please explain to me why this sport hates tarps so much. I'm not talking about putting multiple tarps on the track so there are wet spots between the tarps so the track is inconsistent... I'm talking about a single large tarp to cover the track. Major league baseball can roll out a single large 170'x170' tarp in seconds. Why can't the MAJOR events like Toma

I don't know a single American who has any grudge/problem/animosity against the average Canadian. I think many American feel bad for you since your country hasn't won a Stanley Cup in 32 years! (too soon?). I don't see why you'd be treated any different than any other year. Don't buy into any media hype or lies we love our neighbors to the North. I'm not even su

Who really cares?? This “fantasy” stuff is….pointless
Try to not be a complete D-bag... Try harder. Sure you may not care about it but many people seems to like fantasy sports. It's a huge market in all sports and I'm glad someone is offering it in our motorsport. Thanks Gordon for your efforts.

Bauer's JD will have a Chaos Red motor similar to the one in Triple Bypass. It should be a very competitive tractor.

You'd only need enough battery for about 20-30 seconds (staging and making a pass). I'd probably double or triple that incase there's a pulloff. I'm guessing the battery size could be much smaller than needed for a 200-300 mile range vehicle.
Our senses matter in this motorsport, sound and the feeling in your chest are a very important part of pulling (just like drag raci

Just from my observation... It looked like it was still running strong for a second or two after the pipe came off. I'd expect it to die almost instantly if the exhaust wheel came off or if the shaft broke. I'm guessing it was just a pipe problem (maybe screws pulled or got missed when the pipe was installed)

Based on what the Barkers have been doing with the Rhapsody 4.1 I'd say the 8.3l / 9.0l (I think it's just a different crank) can be built to be competitive in a wide variety of classes.

I'd love to see examples of the rules I violated. Please post links and specific quotes. Since I "have proved to us, many times over the decades" it should be really easy for you to find some examples. I'll wait.

Well said. Is an 1/8" too tight of a tolerance? Too loose? Does that account for rounding due to wear? Or is that at the narrowest point? This is something that should probably be written in black and white.

I've always said that all classes will go component eventually, but how we get there is a very important discussion. We need some sort of tangible metrics to use as a rough guideline. Simply shouting that we NEED components in a given class anytime someone breaks a hub isn't a good way to make rule changes. I think using overall class HP is a reasonable metric to use. My question is

anybody who has been here for any length of time knows Dick posts many many negative comments about everyone. Simply fact.
Sure some of it is negative. I won't argue that. Much of my fathers comments are constructive criticism (some may see those as negative, but the sport has a tons of shortcomings and there are already too many who view it through rose colored glasses)..

First you said "Trump was responsible for more COVID deaths in the US..."
I simply said all those deaths weren't really ALL Covid deaths. It's a skewed dataset.
Then you moved the goal post and now you're talking about overall death rates. I never said there were no Covid deaths, I simply said that your attributing a disproportionate amount of deaths as Covid deaths. Your

The list Brent Yaron posted sure looks impressive on paper.... BUT.... How many of these Diesel Supers could beat a top tier Light Pro at even weight (8000lbs)? Thirty? Twenty Five? Twenty? How many could beat a Pro Stock at 8000lbs? Fifteen? Ten? Five?
How many would be able to run in a pulloff against the Light Pro or Pro Stock? Half?
The Diesel Super currently has about a dozen tractors

You do realize that Covid data related to cause of death in the US is as reliable as a Twin Turbo Charged Yugo with a stock bottom end. Unless you lived under a rock you'd know those numbers are extremely unreliable. Car Accident death but you had Covid? Sure code it as a Covid death so the hospital can get Federal relief ($$$). Skydiving, but had Covid? Well count that as a Covid death
