Carl, I'm told there will be a turbo farm stock class at Penfield, associated with IPA? If so, what rules, weight, etc?

I'm familiar with the FASS setup, but it is a budget buster for my farm stocker. I have an Aeromotive marine pump that I had planned on using for a fuel injected 555 Chevy that's in my boat, definately overkill, but it will maintain 45 psi with plenty of volume. I'll use the matching bypass regulator with a return back to the tank, and will still use the existing return from the in

Just wondering what setups are being used for a feed pump. Pressure, regulator/bypass, type of pump, etc. Thanks for the help.

Let it roll- I hate to attack a kid, but that's one of the dumber posts I've seen. The whole idea of farm Stock is ENTRY LEVEL. If you think your dad's tractor is all that tough, then move up a class or two, and see how things work out with the "big boys".

I'm not talking about pulling back on the T/A. The problem is when the no-speed-limit guys come down to farm stock and slam T/A forward near the end of the run when they start to spin, and put 30 feet on the real farm stockers. 600 hp tractors are not farm stock. It's usually the guys who can't cut it in hot farm or whatever, so they get a kick out of beating a stock tractor. I thi

From my limited experience, a stock tractor with the pump turned up can handle 8mph, at 12-14,000 lbs, 10mph takes a little more work, and 12mph will need 400+ hp on a good track. If you want to make things even, 8-9 mph and no shifting or throttling after 100'.

Thanks for the info. I just took off the hood and looked close at the housing- top number is 148387, and under it 386 DUC. That's all I could find. Does that mean anything? If not, how do I tell what I have? Thanks again-

I was at a pull in St. Rose, IL today and saw a scary wreck. Happened about 30 feet away right in front of me. This real nice D-21 running in 9500 Hot Farm was moving along pretty good at about 220 feet, got crossed up, and appeared the driver pushed in the clutch to end the run. The sled hit the tractor as the driver looked back, and he hit the throttle and let out the clutch. The chain snapped

I'm a Farm Stock puller wih little experience running a Case with a 504, head work, cam, 425cc pump, and 4x.020 injectors. I'm going to pulls this year that allow bigger turbos than a 3LM, and I ran across a nice 4LE-556 at a great price, so I built new exhaust, intake tube, oil lines, and went to the first pull today. Not very happy with the results- lost lots of low-end torque, hard t

If the 3LM has to be out-of-box, you won't really have a need for any more cubes than the 504. There's only so much air that can be moved through a 1.75 turbo outlet. If you port the heads, put in a good cam, and get the fuel up around 400cc, you should be near 400hp, from my limited experience.

This thread surprises me. Lots of pulls are announced on this site, but this one brings out the whiners. This is not the first event for these guys- I'm confident they will put on a good show and have a strong bunch of tractors. If it's a pull that you don't like, don't attend. I haven't pulled with this bunch yet, but I met some of them this winter, and I can tell you th

I'm putting together a medium duty hauler now, and will be pulling a gooseneck, but probably a drop deck trailer later. I would like to register it as an RV, rules in Illinois require a certain number of items to be on the truck, like sink, toilet, stove, heat, etc. to be an RV. I've been to a lot of drag races, and quite a few pulls, and I will guarentee a lot of rigs with RV plates do

I understand you want to build for the future, but all that for 8mph? A turned up stocker will handle that. Seems like a strange set of rules.
