Grind away. We are just fine and that pains some people.
Weird way to go through life. Best of luck to everyone this weekend.

Ravenna dropped two classes and they had a great show.

What rules have been thrown out?
And all the sponsors today were there with Robert's.

Tomah paid NTPA the fee required to have those classes.
NTPA collects the 1% and I would assume goes to the points fund and then paid back.
If a class in a session has a 5000 purse, Tomah paid for it in full and it will be paid to the pullers in full.
If a pull loses money this is the same scenario. Pullers are not subject to that pulls profits or losses.

Most the time we hooked in Tomah, we were per hook tractor.
It was either $90 or $100 one time fee and 1% purse (even members pay the 1% purse or entry fee)
So for a $5000 purse the one time out of pocket cost should be $150 max per session. This is very common anywhere you go for this caliber of pull. We got passes with this as well.
NTPA could have changed their policy in t

I am not advocating one way or another, just asking some questions for discussion.
Does this class need to keep gaining HP to help pulling grow?
Does pulling need another 3000+ hp class?
Just thought I would ask as it has been discussed below about vehicle turn outs and pulling future with numbers.
If we allow components in this class and hp gets to 3500+, will a new 2000 hp c

Not sure what class you're running but, more oil = bigger heat sink.
We have a pan that can hold 10 but run about 8 or so.
Also check your oil's viscosity index on it's TD sheet. The higher that number the better the oil viscosity stays consistent through all temperatures.
An oil with a lower viscosity index will tend to thin out more as the temp rises compared to

Every top tractor is going to the dyno already and how much is the new turbo that was at nfms that everyone will now have to buy to keep up?
Just so some of us can understand, we are to believe with the current rules the competitors won't dyno every year and buy new latest turbos or other parts available to stay on top?
I will bet 6500 won't touch the new one.

Personally I think the cast chassis has it's limits once that HP or Torque number is reached adding more cost to the competitors.
We ditched our 706 rear end when we wanted to go north of 3000 hp. Could we have kept it? Sure but I wanted to spend the money once.
I have no idea what the magic number is for the light pros, but as they get higher in HP there will be a lot of added co

Too late on the dyno class part. How do you think they learned they can turn a 5" turbo?
All of these classes with 1 turbo are going to the dyno. DSS are now going to the dynos. That won't end either, they will keep going if there is something bigger or better to try each year to stay on top.
I liked the g trim turbo idea, not necessarily in favor of a box turbo for the class

I agree with a lot of this.
I like the rules Outlaws have.
But if the rules don't have a good balance with other clubs/regions, when money is tight like with 3 dollar corn, your pool of pullers can can get a little tight. Especially when asking them to run 20 plus times for points.
We are always having this conversation as the pulling landscape changes. Doug started a l

I agree with the DSS.
What is tough with them is that you have a sled set to stop the 4500 hp tractors at 235. Then you have some 3500 hp tractors that run really good, just don't look the same on 240 ft track. And on that track if the first 75 ft isn't right even the 4000 hp tractors can end up really short.
Maybe an idea is switch their format with the LSS???

At 8000 lbs no I don't think so.
But at 7000 I do. The alky has more drivability out of the hole. The lighter the weight the diesel may have disadvantages of getting hooked and the speed needed.
HP to HP I can agree and the diesel carrying more torque. At the lighter weight the torque becomes less important.
And at the state and region level I think there are far more

Obviously I am not Jake.
But I always thought a 6500/7000 class would be interesting to do. 505 max vs 540 max. up to 4 turbos and push rod motors
Leaves out some of those HSS that cant make 7000 but most regions have these tractors.
Maybe even 7000/7500.
Region has HSS now just never got a chance to pull the class last few years with the DSS classes that were ava

To mathematician.....
So one person dontates $200 to a charity. With no one knowing about it. That charity still takes out their expenses too and advertising cost money.
1 person buys a t shirt at a pull and spends $20. That t shirt is seen walking around the pits and 20 more people ask where did you get that? And they go buy tshirts.
Now $420 has been spent and $210 donated.

I am not sure who you would be, but obviously not at the Nebraska or Iowa convention because all I had posted was our 17 schedule.
And we didn't have it in MO or TX or KS. So what fair convention would this have been posted at?

Longdale couldn't have a pull, just wasn't in the cards. These types of shows we need to pair up as well.
West Liberty was spending too much for what we could provide on their solo wed night. ECI will do great there and both will benefit from it. Thank you West Liberty for the past years and good luck in 18.

That is incorrect about what upper management wanted.
The pro stocks were told by myself no change was needed. Every organization is looking for more hooks and more sponsors. This though was not in correlation with pro stock rules.
They wanted to know their options though from Hyper if they did. So I presented the Hyper tu

David I walked up to you and you said you didn't want to talk. If you didn't know who I was that explains quite a bit. David I wish you the best and know you weren't cheating. For 2018 anyone caught at the scale will not hook that days event.
Anyone caught after the hook will be out 1 year and 10 days.
