I am a huge fan of the hooker from Wipeout. Super design and light weight but strong. I have ran one for 3 years. I had a haslag before, it was a good hitch but super heavy. The Hooker I can carry by myself, the haslag I had to have another hand. Not a huge difference I guess but a pound to move is a pound to move.

In my opinion, just get rid of the stock pump and buy an electric pump from Jegs or the like with a brass impeller. Neck down the factory inlet and outlet to a 3/4" hose. Does a way better job in flow. You may need to put a restriction in line to keep the water from flowing too fast through the engine so it will actually pick up some heat out of the block.

I run lower pressure to allow the nose to bounce a little and take the hard hit out of the equation thus allowing the rear tires to hopefully not unload.

One class I would go for and leave would be light pro stock.
The class I generally don’t watch, street diesel or eve the class above street. Just so many of them and lots break.

Start with a small setup from rpm. My full kit was 4500 with dash so I’m sure you can find a cheaper package. He also allows you to trade old parts innfor new when you go bigger. You can also just continue to add on with separate boxes.

I would guess 600 would be a good place to start. With a 3x3 and 5-24 I was at 840, pump was maxed.

If you have a standard crank you should get the Clevite coated H bearings. My suggestion is to call all of the engine builders and see which one has the best 510 kit. Will be a very noticeable difference from the 466.

Another vote for RPM. Everything performs great and easy to read data. Also makes it easy to send out to people as the program is free to download.

We have made some changes over the years which has cause a bit of tweaking and some wild rides. But it’s still holding up well. No bends or problems yet. Ran 4 seasons so far.

I tried this and didn’t work out. I used the stock brakes with stock pedals converted to manual for a season but tried to go with disc brakes and stock manual pedals. Can’t remember what didn’t work but something wouldn’t jive and switched to Willwood masters.

The class I came from runs around southeastern Ohio and northern West Virginia. Class has a Massey that runs pretty healthy in it. Mostly binders and a couple Deere’s in that class. One case if they come back out.

Generally speaking on a good track I have seen 33 mph top speed when I ran. Sometimes on tighter sleds it was 22-24 mph. Just depended on the track and sled.

You will not believe the difference in the tractor going from 525 cc to say 1000 cc. With the right turbo (GT42) and the right aftermarket parts in it and everything else built to work together that setup could put you in the 900-1000 hp range. All of this given you can run water or a cooler. The 525 cc you will prolly be around 5-600 if you are lucky. Injector size plays a huge roll in this as w

Depends on how it’s built. RW can give some pointers as his runs very well! We have all sorts in the class. 466 to 540 and everywhere in between. Have a friend building a 466 now for the class and he also plans on going to Kentucky a few times.
