Re: Fantasy Pulling 2025 - 5 days ago

QuoteWho cares Who really cares?? This “fantasy” stuff is….pointless Try to not be a complete D-bag... Try harder. Sure you may not care about it but many people seems to like fantasy sports. It's a huge market in all sports and I'm glad someone is offering it in our motorsport. Thanks Gordon for your efforts.

Re: BAUER SSD - 12 days ago

Bauer's JD will have a Chaos Red motor similar to the one in Triple Bypass. It should be a very competitive tractor.

Re: Experimental pulling vehicles - 2 months ago

You'd only need enough battery for about 20-30 seconds (staging and making a pass). I'd probably double or triple that incase there's a pulloff. I'm guessing the battery size could be much smaller than needed for a 200-300 mile range vehicle. Our senses matter in this motorsport, sound and the feeling in your chest are a very important part of pulling (just like drag raci

Re: Exhaust pipe blowing off at Keystone - 2 months ago

Just from my observation... It looked like it was still running strong for a second or two after the pipe came off. I'd expect it to die almost instantly if the exhaust wheel came off or if the shaft broke. I'm guessing it was just a pipe problem (maybe screws pulled or got missed when the pipe was installed)

Re: What tractor class is best for Massey with 8.3 Cummins? - 2 months ago

Based on what the Barkers have been doing with the Rhapsody 4.1 I'd say the 8.3l / 9.0l (I think it's just a different crank) can be built to be competitive in a wide variety of classes.

QuoteUnimportant Name And the Morgan's have proved to us, many times over the decades, that they cannot even abide by their own forum conduct rules. I'd love to see examples of the rules I violated. Please post links and specific quotes. Since I "have proved to us, many times over the decades" it should be really easy for you to find some examples. I'll wait. As a side note

Re: Clevis size? - 3 months ago

Well said. Is an 1/8" too tight of a tolerance? Too loose? Does that account for rounding due to wear? Or is that at the narrowest point? This is something that should probably be written in black and white.

Re: A different, logical way of allowing components (or not) - 3 months ago

I've always said that all classes will go component eventually, but how we get there is a very important discussion. We need some sort of tangible metrics to use as a rough guideline. Simply shouting that we NEED components in a given class anytime someone breaks a hub isn't a good way to make rule changes. I think using overall class HP is a reasonable metric to use. My question is

QuoteWild…. anybody who has been here for any length of time knows Dick posts many many negative comments about everyone. Simply fact. Sure some of it is negative. I won't argue that. Much of my fathers comments are constructive criticism (some may see those as negative, but the sport has a tons of shortcomings and there are already too many who view it through rose colored glasses)..

You were correct to not post your name. Your comments are idiotic. Maybe you're new here. Maybe you're just really, Really, REALLY dumb. To say that my father or I haven't been in the firing line is completely moronic. I provide you with a forum and allow anyone like you to open bash me, and my father (which you did in your post). Guess what, 99% of those comments bashing us

Re: NFMS. It's not a points hook. - 3 months ago

Let me be clear, I'm not advocating for bringing the top 3 back for a pulloff... I was simply asking a question to patches about what he thought about bringing the top three back for a pulloff in each class?

Re: Trump Haters - 3 months ago

First you said "Trump was responsible for more COVID deaths in the US..." I simply said all those deaths weren't really ALL Covid deaths. It's a skewed dataset. Then you moved the goal post and now you're talking about overall death rates. I never said there were no Covid deaths, I simply said that your attributing a disproportionate amount of deaths as Covid deaths. Your

I asked this question above and I'll keep asking... What is the point of the Superstock class then? Why have a class with multi-turbos that has less horsepower than some single turbo classes?

QuoteMG1206 Detune them 1000 hp so they’ll live and go down the track. Lighten the sled up and it’ll appear to be the same show. What is the point of the class then? Why have a class with multi-turbos that has less horsepower than some single turbo classes?

Re: Some observations from the NFMS. Part 2 - 3 months ago

The list Brent Yaron posted sure looks impressive on paper.... BUT.... How many of these Diesel Supers could beat a top tier Light Pro at even weight (8000lbs)? Thirty? Twenty Five? Twenty? How many could beat a Pro Stock at 8000lbs? Fifteen? Ten? Five? How many would be able to run in a pulloff against the Light Pro or Pro Stock? Half? The Diesel Super currently has about a dozen tractors

Re: Trump Haters - 3 months ago

You do realize that Covid data related to cause of death in the US is as reliable as a Twin Turbo Charged Yugo with a stock bottom end. Unless you lived under a rock you'd know those numbers are extremely unreliable. Car Accident death but you had Covid? Sure code it as a Covid death so the hospital can get Federal relief ($$$). Skydiving, but had Covid? Well count that as a Covid death

Agree. Protests arent some evil thing. The Ramblin Rose team protested and they checked the drawbar and then the Simons went on to win the finals. It's not usually the prettiest proceedure and emotions can run high, and I heard they did but at the end of the day it is (and should be) an important part of any motorsport.

Re: Prostocks in the sand piles NFMS - 4 months ago

Breaking front ends in the sand doesn't seem as common anymore. Back it the day it was, but not near as often now. Maybe some pullers hate hitting the sand, but guys like Jason Barker tonight dropped his hook and said in his interview he wanted to put it in the sand. He did! I'm not a fan of bulldozing through the pile but fine tuning a sled for 4 feet is pretty tricky. It's

Re: Wednesday Prostock Class Why No Pulloff Politics - 4 months ago

QuoteBP If you refuse to pulloff you lose your spot in the finals. That can be done easily. I like pulloffs (I think they benefit the sport for multiple reasons) but forcing someone to pulloff won't work. Pullers that dont want to pulloff could just fake being broke. You cant force them. There's also the fact that they could actually be broke or they might have a concern and they a
