Tire width was reduced to max 10" in all groups I believe. Can't run a factory 315/80R22.5 road tire now, I don't see that being the issue.
Both cat blocks split along the cam bore, that can't be a coincidence.

I'm betting they are running different injection pump timing then most of the tractors they pull against, less advanced timing would account for increased white smoke and fuel igniting/still burning in the exhaust.

No one has been able to explain to me why there was a change between this year and last?
I was watching vids on YouTube of a pull from I believe around 1995, the two peterbilts of Reis(sp) were running a tire with what looks like a 12" tread block, what changed that now all of a sudden 21 years later wide tires are now being brought up as an issue?

They do have quite a bit of trouble getting them hooked up. One of those little pickup engines just recently put down a little over 3200hp on an engine dyno.

Yes, a few of them made their way into trucks, they had water pump issues and nor rooms my survived. I believe it was the 25000 series in the trucks.

The big inlines and 3408 would bet be nearly as effective nor rpm friendly with the long stoke they have, with the 903 you can leave the stroke and drop bore from 5.5 to around 4.65" and get under 650 for a 855 without destroking bore would only be 4.15" dropping from 5.5.

Without getting into all the gritty details the simple answer is yes, a PEEC can be converted to full mechanical with the right parts.
There are other differences between the B and C versions but that gets pretty involved.

PEEC was available from around 89 on, they built these engines along side the full mechanicals. PEEC engine serial numbers, will start with 8TC, 2EK, 5YG, and 4CK.
Full mechanicals would have been 7FB, 4MG, 3ZJ, and 8TC.

Usually head gasket issues are related to the liner height not being set correctly.
I believe the head gasket from cyclone is made to be used with the ridge of the liner and head being machined to accept the fire ring and the gasket is by itself.

Two stroke oil helped with the older engines in my big trucks, I don't like the idea of using transmission or power steering fluid as you don't know what the additives will do do the injection system. I believe there is testing somewhere that compared most comercially available additives for lubricity and the two stroke oil was above anything else, can't say it does anything for ce

Curious why there are more rules that disallow air to water but not water injection, is there a large power difference? Would it not be easier to police non water injection vehicles?
Thanks for any ones input.

Glad USA east isn't that narrow minded, the semi class would get a little thin if they outlawed EFI.

Any one watched the PA posse lately, the K series used too dominate that hot street class but now it's the electronic cats, even old man hairhogger dropped the K series and switched to an electronic cat.
Cat sells C15s at 855hp, those numbers are a walk in the park.
His location will be the tell tale of what he needs for power. In PA I'd say your talking 1500hp+ without trouble,

I don't disagree with that, just most people/shops with that information don't talk about it unless you spend money with them.
To the OP, the 1693 has limited capabilities due to the fueling and parts availability is almost non existent, the 3408 unless you plan on having fly lone or Columbus figure up a Bosch pump and nozzle combo also has limited fueling to around 7-800hp, then th

Sounds like by that you are giving the advantage to the twd due to sled setting, isnt there very little weight on the pan for the tractors and don't most operators put the block in right behind the chain just for the twd.
