Re: John Deere super - 5 years ago

JD4455SSD I have found out over the years when I show up with a pile of cash most things can be bought. Their price and mine maybe different and we shake hands and walk away if we can’t agree. I don’t think that most people would turn someone away without talking to them especially to part with a pulling tractor. If like 2 know is that desperate maybe he needs to drive to Butler Co Ohio and si

Re: John Deere super - 5 years ago

Yes that is his name. Chris works for him. I believe the conversation was what’s that? Yes I know what that is. Can I take it out and run it? I done it before.

Re: John Deere super - 5 years ago

I believe it is still in Hamilton Ohio. A person that owns an excavating company owns it. I don’t remember his name. Last few times I saw it run Chris Nuess drove it.

Re: Bowling green - 5 years ago

Here is my rant! Waisted money for livestream on this one. Never again for that mistake. LSS sled was set heavy. Powers to be thought it was more important that I saw Simon back to the sled than show the winner of the LSS class run. Sound is awful spotty at best. Gave my tickets away because my oldest daughter is move in day tomorrow at school. May have been a good move with the low tractor n

Re: How long (years wise an your first pull) have you been attending pulls? - 5 years ago

The first time I pulled was 1982 on a Farmall M in Lebanon Ohio, I was "12". We won the first 3 classes. I was second in the forth because a rear tire blew out and lost by 2 foot. I enjoy it to this day. Glad for live stream and live results it saves time and money.I attend about 6 to 8 pulls a year. I help out the neighbor with a farm stock every now and then. I have pulled in several stat

Re: Tomah Live - 6 years ago

I was in the same boat. Wonder why I support this BS. Wanted to put I pad tv and connection in the creek. That's was not a creek it was the run off of the rain. Kind of tired of wasting $ on NTPA. DSS was my class I supported. Time to move on for me. Nice to see Nasty Stuff try different tires. Wonder how it will turn out.

Re: Reputable Builders/Parts suppliers. - 6 years ago

JD4455SSD I can remember a fellow we pulled antiques with buying a plane ticket to a far off western state to get parts or money back 25 years ago. If I remember correctly he got parts. I took 3 cranks to a person about 30 miles from you and only received one back for the antique. After a friend pulled a favor and picked it up. Never did see the other 2 it would be nice to have them returned. I

Re: Forward Tilt of a pulling tractor - 6 years ago

The 10 degree angle of the crank is in the book for a reason. Will they find 15 degrees? Not until you win all the time and someone protest.

Re: John Deere 865M vs Kubota 1100 rtv - 6 years ago

We have a Kubota and love it. It will be used for loading the super and antique. We have also used it for loading a 7040 AC farm tractor, trucks, and cars. It has done all we want it to do.

Re: Ford 4000 vs 5000 for LLSS - 6 years ago

That's a little far from me. I wish you well. Find someone in your area and help them out would be my advise. If you are on a budget something to think about each time I take out the antique it is $200. That tractor get plugs and oil changed once a year along with routine maintenance.

Re: Langford? - 6 years ago

When I sent a note about the sound at the Fort I was told all was good it was on their end. The issue was on my end. It was the first time I had issues with sound. I then gave examples of the issues. I am glad I was not the only on to have the sound problem. That was the first time I had an issue with streaming. I am glad to have that option.

Re: Bone Twister and Sled last night in Chapel Hill - 6 years ago

They said a sprocket broke on the sled. I would guess as fast as Bone Twister was moving when he stopped, the pan dropped and sled stopped. The chain drive sprocket stripped the teeth off from the weight and forward movement of the box.

Re: LLSS: What are the odds of this happening within 3 years? - 7 years ago

Bingo! Do something more then change plugs and oil. They ran the same way 35 years ago when they were in the 55SS. That clasd died off in the early 80s. Came back with Bluegrass then ATPA. Open it up to 5500lbs OEM rear, run what you can fit under the hood. Spark plugs 420 cid. Smoke 504. Sit down hold on and watch the ride. The smarter ones will learn to lower the drawbar. Maybe it would

Re: Live Streaming and Pull Attendance - 7 years ago

I enjoy the live stream events. I pay the ticket price for a NTPA pull and sit at home or replay at my available time to watch it. I spent the $300 for the year to watch NTPA GN pulls. I save $$$$. Example. I took the camper to Wilmington Friday to watch a brush pull and a PPL pull on Saturday. $29 a night at the campgrounds. There was a rain out each night. Never went to fairgrounds bu

Re: SOS Ford gearbox? - 7 years ago

The Profab 5 speed will fit in the housing like an iH. Need a drop box made behind it. A 3 speed will work in front of a 8 speed housing. Use a wedge frame with the SOS and 5 speed. Need it to handle the torque. I have a 5 speed Profab and a housing if interested.

Re: 903 Cummins in the open super class.....what are your thoughts? - 7 years ago

I agree with John. 903 never should have been an option. Now that can has been opened. When I make my first million the second million will go a 903 on diesel. Just to try it out. I like smoke

Re: JD and IH LLSS question - 7 years ago

Jerry Sipes dominated the class for several years with spark plugs. He has more seat time then most pullers in KY. Now that others stepped up the game.... oh drat my popcorn burnt. This was a driver's class 7 or 8 years ago. Most went white line to white line if they moved the sled. Now there are a few can make power and there are more driver's in the seats their is a challenge
