Head bolts have been added & relocated for quite sometime now. Is the argument that the block should have all of the OEM holes? Does the head actually have to utilize these holes? They put IH heads in JD’s 40 years ago & there had to be head bolt mods done there. I’ve never seen a rule in the ntpa or ppl rule book that directly address head bolt location, only cam location. It seems that everyth

The small cube with twin chargers should be allowed 6" of total turbo. Divide them up however you see fit & the cubes should be 310 alky or diesel.

I didn’t really understand it either. There’s a pretty good sponsorship that they get thru my dealership, we loan them gators to run around on, I grew up with the guy that’s now over it & I spend $1000s of dollars a year with his HVAC company plus C-H is hometown. Wasn’t like they had 20 DSS’s lined up wanting to come. I asked twice & got the run around both times. I won’t ever ask again & we’

I can tell you that Chapel Hill’s HSS numbers were down because they wouldn’t let any locals participate. The A-holes want your local sponsorship money but not your participation.

A 310 diesel head is better than an OEM Cummins but there’s some aftermarket Cummins heads that have the ability to be made very good

It will run about the same as any other 359 cid gas engine. Starting with a 6.7 will help a little more.

Your rpm is gonna be dictated by head & cam. Depending on the brand, I may have a used billet crank that will get you 5 steps ahead.

I get a local guy to make a nice & informative flyer & post it in ever local buy/sell/trade group I can find on Facebook. There’s also numerous local “what’s happening” pages on Facebook. Those are the local folks that need to know. Most radio stations have a local events section & will mention your pull for free if you’ll email them the info ahead of time. A lot of these promoters magically think that the pulling organization they hire is gonna bring the crowd with them. A little old fashioned leg work goes a long way towards gathering a crowd. Little generic yard signs that you can read isn’t the answer either. Pullers sharing Facebook posts isn’t the solution. You have to reach people outside the pulling circle.

Can't put out a scedual that early when you got the big three constantly fighting with each other for dates and pulls. Pulling is the death of itself because to many are blinded by their own ego to see whats good for the sport as a whole.

That’s a common problem on all of those sheetmetal style hitches. Your best bet is to cut out a 1/8” aluminum plate & countersink some bolts to hold it to the rearend, then stick the hitch on. The aluminum plate will hold the oil while the flimsy sheetmetal hitch can bend, warp, & twist all it want too

Ford motorsport V6 heads like they used to run in Busch series have the same bore spacing as a 300 ford. Bolt those suckers on there. I have a block with 4.25 sleeves welded on it if that will help ya. Think I still have a couple forged steel cranks. But I hate to tell you that a 300 ford bottom end will not hold up in a hard running LLSS without spending a ton of money building a bed plate f
