Re: Mile Branch Grange Power Pulls-June 4th and 5th! - 4 years ago

MBG had a better turnout. The Unlimited Open/Light Limited Super class sucked. Only one of the six actually ran/didn't drive out of bounds. They missed the sled on the semis. Widenmeyer showed up for RWYB and put 10+ feet on Antram and 100 feet on the street diesel trucks. Tom Miller came back for Saturday and junked a turbo. Classic Super was the best class of the night, which is no surpri

Re: Firesuits - 4 years ago

Simpson is the best but expensive. RaceQuip is good and decently priced. I would avoid RJS, their sizes are inconsistent and the quality is bad.

Re: Ross Pistons - 4 years ago

Manufacturers are having trouble getting aluminum. I know of a drag racer waiting on JE Pistons since last fall as well

Re: NTPA Shipshewana - 4 years ago

NTPA Ship was one of the best run tractor pulls I’ve ever seen. They ran almost 60 tractors in just over 3 hours last night. Louisville (and some outdoor pulls) should take some notes

Good luck getting 4WD pullers to agree on rules. And say goodbye to any DSS that don't want to run with the Alkys

PPL website - 4 years ago

PPL's website sucks. All I want to know is Pro Stock results from last night and their website won't work. I know that Masterson won but I don't know any distances. Since they updated the website over the winter, it's turned into complete garbage

Re: clearer photo added of sled attachment - 5 years ago

so you are saying that they should add a second set of grousers to the sled? Three (potential) problems. 1) If it does drop at say 20ft, it would destroy the track, especially after the pan grousers drop. Guaranteed hook track 2) How are you going to back up this "trailer"? Do you have to unhook it from the sled to a courtesy tractor? Or does the sled operator get to back that up himself?

Re: Spin-off topic: New sled design - 5 years ago

then why can't we stop at 320ft outdoors? Oh wait we can

Re: Spin-off topic: New sled design - 5 years ago

move the box forward on the rails. Also, how come the same sleds that let runs of 350ft during the summer, can stop runs at 220 indoors?

Re: If you were President/Owner of the NTPA what would you do? - 5 years ago

I agree. Let’s pump engines, check fuel in ALL classes, measure turbos. Actually enforce the rules for once

Re: NHRA schedule changes - 5 years ago

The NTPA doesn't have a national hook until May 23 (R2 in West Salem, Ohio), the first hook in June is the 13 in Sugarcreek, OH, another R2 hook. PPL only has the Show Me shootout May22
