Timing lights and Roosa pumps don't mix. The beginning of injection is variable depending on load on a Roosa or CAV pump. It is not 180* out of time, it will not run as good as it does. They may run by starting with ether, but never make enough power to pull themselves, much less sled pull lol!

ive said on here for years that time needs to be a factor..in round 2 graph explanation,i disagree, shouldnt the box top out at the same distance,im sure the sled gearing was the same ?? and pan drop too ??..simply a difference in the dirt side to side
I was thinking the same thing, the box tops out at same distance on track, speed just makes it happen sooner lol!

The Stanadyne application lists that pump being for engine 6531TT02. Doesn't give me an application as to what machine so it likely was just a stationary power unit.

I've seen some DM pumps on 531's with the P pump bolt pattern, used in graders. If pump is still on it, post it's numbers, that may tell you what it was supposed to be originally.

I never saw anything excluding any models of tractors actually. If you question whether you can run, call and talk to Mark, he will answer any questions about what the insurance will allow.

The way I see it is this, he is putting on a pull for us all to come and get a chance to pull our tractors in a year that many if not all pulls are cancelled. So if you have a tractor that runs a too hot to farm class, like will be in freeport this sat, bring it to byron. The farm stock 8 mph is for out of the field type tractors. If few show up, he will open it up to hotter tractors that can ru

As long as you're referring to the International Harvester engines, they are the same. The 94 and up Navistar DT466 New Generation is a very different animal. While it can be made to work, it is a very different engine, co-designed with Detroit Diesel.

All the true IH engines have either a Model 100, Bosch A, or MW pump. If it sits high and has a P pump, it's a Navistar New Generation, and it's very different, also marketed as Detroit 40 series, or Perkins 1300 series.

no, all mechanical injected pump-line-injector systems were 12 valve. The VP44 was technically mechanically injected, but electronically controlled(governor/timing advance) I think Scheid has a nice line setup for a P7100 onto a 24 valve.

This whole deal reminds me of a husband and wife in debt up to their a$$e$, and she says "you can buy a new pulling tractor if I get a new car" Lets spend way more money then we even have for what?? The amount of money they want to blow is simply astronomical. That itself will finish our country off! The government gets money from taxing the people, and there's no way we can ever tax everyon

Anyone who is "thinking" about putting a KT1150 in a pulling tractor has obviously never been around one in person. They are a very large and heavy engine, even bigger than a moline or BBJD lol!

The tough running ITPA/IPA tractors have a 2.3" inlet, but the turbo itself is unlimited I believe. I think they just have to slug them down, so saying a 2.3 class is misleading, makes everyone think it's a 3LM class. The ISP class mentioned above is Box Stock S300 which has a wheel diameter of 2.36" but the opening is actually 2.41". As Jake said above, our isp too hots run in the 22-25 mph

Just put my twister to work a few weeks ago. What a nice piece of equipment! Using it for a 6.7L Cummins, like it's not even there. I picked it up at Gordyville last Jan. It seems to me like it's a 2/3 scale OTC Revolver, but doesn't take up near the space. I only work on medium sized diesels, not big rig stuff like 855, 3406 etc. I'm sure it would handle an L10 or 3306. I

Just because the blocks says it's a 466, doesn't really mean it is actually a 466. Any of the 3 blocks can be made into any of the 3 sizes in the series, 414, 436,466. Only sure way to know is pull the head and measure the stroke.

just like the name implies, it is a steeper angle on the lifting portion of the lobe, to lift the plunger up quicker.

Most pulling pump builders have the anti-reversing cam ground into a simple up-down cam lobe. The anti-reversing cam keeps the engine from running backwards. Stock in most applications, but Case pumps were simple up-down lobes. It may be a quick delivery grind with higher lift.

If test puller breaks while on first hook, and it's obvious, then the sled operator should take into consideration that fact and a full pull mark should be set instead of resetting the sled, so as to not screw the first puller over. Do what you can to avoid having to re-set the sled, and the class, make other adjustments like to full pull mark. Obviously if everyone is going out the back gat

Who makes a reasonably priced taller valve cover to clear the long head studs for the rocker stands? Or someone make a spacer? I'm wanting to use the large breather hose like on N6 engines. Something on the shelf would be preferred. Call or text 815-303-3492 Ed. Thanks in advance!
