There were several eyes watching what was going on. Guess they didn't find anything legitimate to complain about. We have nothing to hide. I would have showed them anything they wanted to see, but now protest is the only way I'm showing them anything. These two keep things stired up in our class. Glad several people got to see their true color this weekend.

Give me a call. I've been putting together an electric assist power steering system. Still use a manual rack and pinion set up just put this unit in line with the shaft. Works better than anything we've found. Aaron Prewitt (502)220-8322

We blew our 354 perkins alky motor mid season. Put John Maxeys 2.6 diesel truck motor in to play around. I've been impressed so far. Cam timing slipped at Versailes lost power and bent all Ex valves. Plan on being back together for E-town Friday.

Tony in the meeting we were trying to clearify rules so that Michell Coomer wouldn't be twisting anything. The rules were very open. Nothing was ever directed at your tractor. It wasn't until we thought we had the rules clear until we found out that it made your head illegal. Ted spoke up and told us how you all had reworked your head. Instead of grandfathering or outlawing we reworded

Heres my 2 cents Micheal. The cummins in the cockshutt everyone wants to talk about actually was a factory set up for white, it didn't have cockshutt metal on it but back dating sheet metal is no different than updating. The perkins also came down the assembly line in front of the oliver rear end. It was called a 1850 oliver. The cummins NEVER came down the assembly line in front of a 560 IH

You haven't looked at the heads on a herc if you think the cummins will out flow it. The only way to make the cummins flow is cut the side out of it so you can find the ports. As far as custom parts they are way ahead of the cummins with stock parts. They have a much stonger crank rods and bottom end. Have seen a few crack beside the head bolts but that probably wouldn't be an issue wit

The Sipes family runs a strong 5.9 on alky, it did come apart at Lanesville In pull. I think a girdle would be a good move to keep that from happening. Here is a picture off of pulling depot

if he comes to orv pull he will be pumped before he hooks to the sled . as for the distances there is no question your tractor could beat him any given night but do you think he is legal now. you didn't before he hooked with BOB.

The tractor is a limited pro many time points winner in a 540 cube class. I bet its just 474 stock cubes. You are smarter than that.
I remember you being the first to cry about running against him in cloverdale.

We are running a 354 perkins on alcohol in the llss
I have looked at a few 365 motors and the best I can tell probably 450 without a lot of trouble
I think you could get a 4.25 bore and 5.25 stroke in it.
the stock 5 inch stroke puts the rods pretty close to block and bottom of sleeves.

I can't say enough good things about Tom and his tractor. He is a true sportsman, anyone who will jump off their tractor to help another competitor get his tractor going and even give you parts out of his well equipped NAPA truck to help is a real tractor puller. Thanks alot Aaron Prewitt

all the diesels get to try MAF enhancement for the first 8 pulls. Then we will decide on rules for 2010. From what I saw at the meeting most diesels are just going to give up. They wanted 200 lb over alkys sloted chargers and even talked about needing intercooler. How unreasonable is that.

I'm running a ht 60 on my 340ci llss moline. very good charger. the most popular is hx 60. The ht is similar but is left handed version. I used it because it worked out good with my manifolds and it was only $300. It makes 58psi with a #26 exhaust housing. The only draw back is there is no available billet wheels for the ht. I think they need a class with color. I'm tired of the red green show that they have had for years. The LLSS would probably be the biggest crowd pleaser. There are more than 10 different brands represented alcohol and diesel running together, and very competitive.(no other class can say that) These tractors are powerful enough to put on a great show at 6000lb, but not near as wild as the LSS
