The front bearing area on a P pump can be turned down to fit the A pump hole. Several places can do that. Then you just need the P pump stud holes located and drilled and tapped. Did mine myself. All you need for equipment is a mag drill and a lathe. Build the rest of the stuff yourself easily.

Trying to push air down fast enough to get rid of it isn’t easy at all. Not enough volume to move it very far. Takes too long to fill and pump
up the pedal again. By then the air has risen back up in the system. Try bleeding the brakes manually on an older combine with manual brakes. Can’t be done. Too much vertical distance from the pedals to the bleeders. You have to use a pressure bleeder. An

There are several versions of that brake valve over the years. I got a later one with o-ring threaded ports on top. Plugged one. Put fitting in the other to hook to the pressurized can. Also have a smaller standard filter on the outlet. Stay with in all safe pressure ranges of course. Mine is an industrial unit.
I also change filters on it then flush it and use it to pressurize/fill new engi

If it’s a 3000 or 4000 series transmission bleeding them by pumping and opening the bleeder may not work due to the way the internal passages are. I made and used a 1 gallon pressurized setup to push enough volume fast enough to do the job.

I have a flood light mounted on the front. Just because we run mostly county fairs and small town things. Many times the lighting stops at the end of the track. And then your blind because of the sudden darkness. All the way back to the pits. I use to carry a flashlight. Almost useless. The bright light now on the front of the tractor works wonders. And I can see people walking around in front of

Shoeby. Contact me. Private message. I repaired our system. But it was just bad external wiring. The box had no problems.
We used a different one a few times towards the end of the season I built.

Pins 9+ (positive) and 4- (negative) on the 12 volt/relay bulkhead operate the external light/alarm. But only puts out 5 volts. At least on the one I tested. Should still operate most 6 volt relays. But will drain the internal battery a lot faster when activated.

There are lots of tractors being salvaged out in the lower part of the country with LP engines. If someone offered a good fit insert those somewhat worthless hoods would suddenly be worth a something . And fiill a market spot up north.

Anyone make and sell inserts to plug the big hole in a 4010/4020 Lp hood?
Local body shops interested in doing it?
The shop I checked with did it once and doesn’t care to again.
Thanks

I want to be able to adjust fuel setting without removing the filter from the manifold. And want to eliminate the 2 steel tubes on the inside of the oil pan that mount into the oil pump/block. Not just cap it off on the left outside.
Thanks

Looking for ideas or better yet already available items for two modifications.
First: Does anyone sell an adapter to move the stock filter manifold (30/40) back to make access to the fuel adjustment?
Second: Am using the stock crank driven oil pump. Not investing in external pump. But would like to eliminate the internal oil cooler steel lines. Remove cooler bypass and some way to permanen

Can a rear axle of a JD that’s wore beyond the undersize bearing dimension be welded up and ground down at the outer bearing and seal retainer without weakening it? Of course people weld on hubs all the time. But not directly at the point of support.
Thanks for any information.

Joe Dirksen was a pioneer in pulling trying different things in the 60’s and 70’s. He pulled an IH 460 or 560. Think it was a 460. Anybody have any information or better yet pictures? He ran out of western Iowa.

Any experience using the 2 psi residual valves so a person doesn’t have to rely on pumping the brakes? I’m referring to the stock internal JD disk brakes. Also what’s inside the valves? Any parts that would not be hydraulic oil friendly?

Outlaws doesn’t have a Pro Farm class far as I know. . Superfield is the closest thing. And they are not the same as any other Pro Farm class that I have seen. Check the Nebraska Bush Superfield rules. That’s what it is.
