We do pulls in Texas, We do professional fireworks when the weight changes in the sled and after the pull. And after that we do a concert following the pull each night, It has been been working for us very well, never heard anyone say they're bored...We also have a pedal tractor pull for the kids. We have a FB page. Facebook

Much rather have one come apart on the Dyno and injure no one, rather than have motor flying apart in front of thousand's of people, just my opinion.

If you're going to run over 1000 Hp, find a 504 block, with the oilers on the pistons, also some 504 have a bigger journal size and the cranks have more counter wts on them. Haugs could prob help find what you need. Can get a thicker sleeve made and custom piston.

What is bore and stroke now? What rpm class and turbo will you be running? Do you have to use stock manifolds?make sure that they will work good. I would debore, might have to notch sleeves for valve clearance.

Something to remember is the heat built when slipping the clutch off the line. The flywheel and clutch were never designed for that kind of abuse, esp with more than stock hp and rpm's.

If you have a aftermarket aircleaner that takes oil (K&N), you're mass air sensor might be out. If they get oil on them, most of the time you'll have to replace them.

Unless the pump goes wide open!! Everyone always thinks it won't happen to me, they don't relize the rpm's and the heat create a bomb ready to injure or kill someone.

We have a hot farm 466ci. class. Our rules are: 466 ci, 3x3 turbo, 4500 max rpms, water inject, no intercooler, & 24.5 tires.
I have a cockshutt. I am leaning towards the cummins, my question is would a 6.7 bored and stroked or a 8.3 bored down be easier and/or cheaper to build.
If anyone has a different idea on a motor, fire away. Thanks for the time and thanks Morgans for the space

When you see one of these run road gear at 3,000 rpm, you'll understand why there needs to be steel clutch/flywheel and a scatter blanket. If you haven't seen one run road gear at 3,000 rpm, you eventually will.
I think he is trying to say that cast flywheel is plenty hot and ready to explode at any time... I saw one explode in the 70's, don't ever want to see

Rules could be worked out by those in the class and the organization. I myself as someone building a tractor would like to see similar rules to those groups and what they use in Gordyville.
I agree, gordyville has a great set of rules that allow all to run together competitively. I'm looking to get LLSS started in Tx, good luck!

My point of this post was to hear from either those pullers if there are any around or atleast get there names so that I can try to talk to them. Thank you for Schefflers name. Anyone else?

As a promotor, have to keep a fast pace, the crowd will hang in there to the very last pull, you can't drag a show out, the fans will leave, prob won't be back.

In the links page, builds a nice set up, I didn't use it because I had a rack and pinion setup, but would consider it on a new build.

I'm hoping to get this class started in tx, using the basic gordyville rules. It is a fun class. Don't have to break the bank building a tractor. Just running exhibition runs for now, if it gets started, we have 3 people I know of that will build. Cockshutt 570 puller on youtube.
