Could a 4" or a 6" wide ,custom made, shortened, recovery strap be used in the place of a second hitch? It would take the shock of a break away but not snap like a chain. It could still be hooked to the sled, maybe coming from underneath and mounted to the mid point of the chassis in order to pull down on the mid point of the frame in the event of a break away? It would add minimal weight to the

janie, We all have a right to our opinion, but consider this.I bet you would be amazed at how many pulling contestants there are that drive competition pulling vehicles that do not farm at all. I would bet that there are more non-farming contestants than those who do farm. Those who do not farm might have business's that invest money in this sport and are agriculture related , may it be tru

Would someone please clarify" Traction Control" for me? Correct me if I am wrong as I am trying to figure this thing out but Just because an ECM is being used, it doesn't mean traction control is being used, does it? My thought on traction control would be when you are using a wheel speed sensor and at the same time using a real time, ground speed sensor, whether it be a GPS signal or a ra

Very good point Pllnfn. There are good points to be made about the Nebr. Bush Assoc. and the Outlaw Assoc. as well. Both Associations have quality competition vehicles and the most important thing to remember is both organizations have some of the greatest competiters and loyal fans of anywhere in the country. Ninety nine percent of them are great people, but it seems that there is always that on

what do you have to have for your SCS coupler? Would you happen to know what the spline count is?WE time both engines the same but with the Lenco coupler, the splines are pretty course and if you have to rotate one of the engines a little to get the coupler slid on, you have changed the firing order by a few degrees. maybe that doesn't matter but we are trying to get the two engines as close

Wanting to hook two naturally aspirated engines crank to crank on a mod tractor and I would like some advice on if the engines should both fire number one TDC at the same time or if the firing order should be offset possibly 180 degrees from one engine to the other or if it really matters at all when each engines fires compared to the other engine. Advice would be appreciated.

hey "Greedy Land Lord", If you think that farmers selling $5 corn is a real windfall for us, you might want to re figure your out of pocket expenses again. It's not near as lucritive as you make it sound. As far as you doing that little old lady a huge favor by paying her $50 an acre for rent, whatever. The real favor to her would have been if you had gone to her years ago and explained to h

We are running fuel injected 582 chevy's with MSD7AL3 ignition. They sometimes misfire out to about 200 feet then clean up and run right but by then its too late. Its not a fuel problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? Could it be a bad coil or rev chip? These engines are all new components. Maybe we should be using mags?
