lol Grubby was never a musician.... by the time the venue, promoter, insurance, sound tech, light guy, etc take their share. the musician/artist/performer is pretty much a furniture mover that works for free... been there done that.
Kidding aside, 10-15% of a ticket face value to a performer is pretty much standard now days. an that's for a know artist... try being in an indy band, seems

I firmly believe that it goes that far because, we live in a society that doesn't hold anyone accountable, and people are too PC, and they don't say what they really feel, which is,F-OFF when dealing with the trolls on here

I agree, ive been here since mid 2011... i understand the right to voice an opinion but more than 1/2 of it now is just childish senseless bashing and arguing to death over the same old deadbeat debates.
i find myself visiting less and less often and questioning why i still do.
its not only tractor pulling or this forum, its just the new world we live in...better get used to it

Sounds to me like its time for Jake to set up a nice 3 tier poll for us, lets get the votes in from all 3 sides, promoters, pullers and fans. some of us might be truly surprised by the results
BTW Bryan, i am one of those fans that stop going to floating finish pulls.
So whats next? eliminate the passing grade in schools? ya that sound stupid eh? just as stupid as getting rid of a full p

Tractor Splits
I worry about this every time I go to a brush event. My general feeling is that we are one bad accident (multiple fatalities) away from going either 3mph or 33mph, and no in-between stuff legally able to pull. Keep that in mind folks when putzing around with

Not sure if this is the same one your guys are referring too, this one happend last weekend in Laurierville Quebec Canada. I was not there but the news report states that the driver suffered a few cuts from the broken glass, thank god no one else was injured. Tractor had a blanket. Clutch exploded.
Here's a link to the video tied to the news report

Guys like Ryan have really picked up their game over the years and are putting out great videos with results ( thats the most important part to me, whats the point of watching a class pull on tv is you have no clue who

Hey Guys,
How does your association draw the line for the cutoff year to be eligible to pull, Some areas around me have 1958 or 1962 as the cutoff year. The bigger question is what do they do about tractors designed before the cut off year but built after. What i mean by that is that i have a 1964 tractor that was designed in 1962 and unchanged until 1967. Yet if no one checks my S/N , i get

Off topic a bit, i have a tractor with an FEL and no P/S could these Pobar systems handle a Light duty FEL application ? i cant imagine the weight at the front axel with bucket loaded being heavier than a #7000 puller coming down on its front axel. Does the Pobar kit self center back into position ? there is a kit available to retro fit my tractor but at $1300 + modifications required, i think i

Up here, they is pretty much no where left for them to hook, 2010 the local association had 7 hooks for the season, 2015 only 2 hooks both at the same venue( 2 day event ) . The other classes in the same association are getting 10-14 hooks a season. The class is down to 5 tractors, and one is fore sale that i know of, so i would not be surprise if they end up dropping the class in the next 5 year

Form a Fan's point of view,
A modified car that is no longer street drivable = race car in any form , drag, circle track , off-road rally etc.
A modified Farm tractor that is no longer capable of working in the field = " Race tractor " in any form , pulling , racing ( like the crazy Russians ) etc.
"Race" is slang for motorsport in general. it just a word used by common folk to g

Ever consider other brads for Japanese tractors as tow tractors. the old Satoh/Mitsubishi's are dirt cheap and easy to upkeep. I have a 2wd and it can hold its own, I would however recommend a 4wd if you plan on towing 6000# +
there are a lot of grey market ones out there too.

John, I looked everywhere on youtube for a video and could not find one, I shot a short one on the Saturday night session in Casselman in July, but the tractor did not hook, it blew a valve cover off making its way to the sled. I sure there got to be some videos of it somewhere. I just haven't had the patience to look trough all the ASTTQ SS class videos for the 2014 season
