Not using a diesel (or gas) tach, but I have one of their GPS speedometers in a drag race vehicle. Very happy with it's quality and performance. It's a good company.

The question was asked over on Yellowbullet.com (come on guys, you know you go there...) about the tubing size used for the frame rails. Is it 2", or do the premier builders use something larger? Thanks. Smokey

The tractor parking pits, as always, are open to the public. Pit side spectator seating however, is $20. Grandstand seating is free on Thursday afternoon, $5 Friday afternoon, and $10 Thursday night and Friday night. Come down and see me at the "Hooker Hospitality Tent" for some artesian well ice water.

Anybody that saw this display last year at Gordyville can attest to the friction reduction.
This is an automotive V-8 engine, but imagine how much more surface area your tractor engine has.

Talked to Aaron just a couple of nights ago, and he was getting ready to fire it up. He and Kevin will probably wear it out on the dyno, and then overhaul it to be ready for the season.

At Freeport a couple years ago we had the sheriffs dept. speed wagon set up beside the track. Average speed for SF was 26-27 mph. A couple made it to 28 briefly. The top speed for all classes was the ULSS at 34 mph. Now this is where it gets a little fuzzy. I think PS was in the 30-32 mph range. Mods were even slower, because Bauer couldn't let them get up and run because of lack of sled wei
