It depends on size you start with A wheel with diameter of 20 to start with a 3 inch in diameter would be approximately 15% increase in circumference and a wheel with diameter of 60 inches would be increase of approximately 5%. Then you would have to calculate your speed for each diameter. Hopes this helps.

If you want the class to go faster just set the sled up to let you run for the first 280 to 300 feet and then nail them. I have see speed range for my LLSS from as low as 22 mph to 31 mph all depends on how the sled is set up. Just my observations.

I agree. I have watched too many "Stock Tractors" pop wheelies very high coming off the line. I would not drive a "Stock Tractor" that can compete because of lack of safety equipment.. My LLSS has all the best safety equipment and I feel safe driving it. If they are turn over stock RPMs they need a steel fly wheel and a safe clutch. I watch a " Stock Tractor" John Deere blow the clutch out on

I ran for year and half with only direct. On sticky tracks or if running in 7000 lbs. open class i would play with drawbar. Now have atlas max 3 speed and about 80% time run direct.

According to rules i have seen for LLSS a 360 inch engine is limited to one turbo with ice box. 310 inches and down could run twins.

I agree with Dave about safety. As far as breaking axle housings all you have to do is tie the axle housing to rear end. not hard to do. Leave the rules alone. the new rule allowing 3.4X4 turbo will cost enough.

if you are thinking of adding another open class I would suggest making it lighter. 6200 or 6500. 7500 is too heavy for LLSS chassis. Thanks again. .

We are planning on being there also. The 7000 lbs. class should be a good one. Good luck Dave.

2x on high pressure i am running close to 2000 psi to help atomize the water. Smaller droplets are easier to turn to steam.
